We've already established that iPhones are being sold, Apple-Unlocked, in certain countries for a considerably higher price, and are being resold for a considerable profit above that.
I have previously gone to great lengths to explain the difference between those legitimate unlocks, and the difference to the 'software unlock' sub-thread in this topic. The legitimately unlocked phones sell for $1,000 and upwards. I have also explained that it is not a great achievement to find and acquire such a phone.
You claimed originally not to have paid such a considerable amount of money for your unlocked phone, yet, as you later admitted, you did exactly that, and paid close to $1,000 for it.
The purpose of the discussion was the existence and viability of a non-legitimate software unlock and software unlocked iPhone, which would allow to take any of the inexpensive $200 iPhones, and unlock them (or would allow any US iPhone to unlock their iPhone 3G for traveling purposes).
You've done nothing special, except to continually misdirect. Your contributions to this thread are worthless and pointless. That should conclude this once and for all.

i seem to remember actually the dispute was me having an unlocked iphone and you kept telling me I didnt
well I did, and I dont care how or who unlocked it, it works fine
i paid close to $800 for it and will sell it tomorrow for $1500
on top of that I didnt have to queue outside a shop for 3 days to get one and then spend 2 days activating it
by all means you can apologise, I dont mind
but you keep changing the goalposts, which incidentally have not proved or disproved that my phone WASNT unlocked by software
just because I mentioned italy doesnt mean my phone came from there!!??
as for inexpensive $200 iphone - sorry I dont know anywhere that sells the handset for $200, locked or not
i think you will find that there is also a contract to pay for
and before you start splitting hairs - let me remind you that in dubai we do not have contracts, it is handset only
the blackberry monthly fee is for THEIR system only for push-email
on iphone I can still access my email FREE thanks to wifi, in fact its working just fine thanks for asking
dont forget also you keep telling us to buy mobileme software at a bargain $69 or whatever it is

you pay for what you use, per mb etc
you dont have to sign to or commit to a 2 year fixed contract a la iphone
you pay for what you want to use
