Gentlemen,
I am a 'cheap charlie' when it comes to laptops, and I'm not really into hi-tech except as a means to an end. I have had good luck running older technology refurbished machines in Australia, and am presently running a Toshiba Tecra 8200 as a simple 'work horse'.
I think I paid around aud$1,000 or approx 29,500baht late 2004.
Since, I really don't like carting this machine from country to country (one of my arms is already longer than the other from years of this) I am looking for a good used unit - maybe the same model that I can leave with a friend in LOS. That way I can simply bring my data, program disks etc Thailand.
Can I get a good refurbished laptop from dealer in LOS at a good same price, or should I bring my own and leave it here?
Appreciate your advice or experiences.
