He's right on, though -- the U120 is limited to 1GB, which is why I use the U100, which was upgradeable to 2GB. 2GB of RAM is really what you want as a bare minimum. MSI took a tremendous step backwards with the U120.
FWIW, netbooks by design are limited to 2GB of RAM maximum, as Microsoft requires a qualified netbook to have no more than 2GB of RAM - otherwise, the manufacturer doesn't get the best price on the packaged version of Windows. Lovely business practices from your friends at MS, eh?

Most CPUs sold today are 64 bit, except those used in Netbooks. However, most copies of Windows sold today are still 32 bit, so unless microsoft has come up with a software driver that allows windows to address (see and use) more than 3.2 gigs RAM, putting more than 3 gigs in a computer is a waste of money (if you are going to run 32 bit windows).
There are 64 bit versions of windows available, but there are not, yet, 64 bit versions of many drivers and software packages.

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard is a fully 64-bit OS, and only comes in one version - it just runs in 64-bit or 32-bit as the hardware supports, and it is able equally to balance 32-bit and 64-bit apps transparently within the same environment.

Yes, that is possible with a Unix "like" OS if the multi-library files are installed, and OS X is Darwin based. I do something similar with Slackware64 Linux.

No offense, Jingjo, but Daffy did answer the question on PCs, and only mentioned Macs in his intro, didn't he?
My take on this is: if you look at it as a machine, then PCs are definitely better value. But most people don't buy the best value car...the best value sofa...the best value apartment. I've used PCs since windows 3.1, I know my way around a PC - but Macs really are so much nicer to use, they look nicer, they feel nicer, and Mac OS also just is far more pleasant to use.
If you're so strapped for cash that you buy the best value car, the best value apt, the best value fittings, the best value food, you choose your booze for alcohol content - then for sure, go for a PC. But if you're happy to pay a bit extra for a nice meal, if your favourite drink isn't cut price cider or cheap thai-made whiskey, if you enjoy a nice car - why not enjoy a lovely computer too? You probably spend far more time on your computer than in your car, and the price difference between a value car and the car you probably drive is far more than between a PC and a Mac.
If you want to play computer games on it, though, sure, go PC. And, like I say, if these things don't matter to you (though if they don't, why would you bother with a nice car etc?) then PCs are definitely a cheaper way of getting things done.
Just my view and my taste, I can't say I care about these things much.

That's the whole point, getting things done. A PC gets the job done. A MAC gets the job done (sometimes). But some people feel that if they spend more money they get the job done looking better doing it. Even though it doesn't matter which you use, they both get the job done, especially now that MAC uses the Intel processor.
Same reason some pay $200 for a bed for the night, and some pay $50 a night for a bed. They both serve the same purpose equally well when you're finally looking to sleep.
