I downloaded an Irene Fah (Opal) film. Not an adult film, but a more mainsteam horror film called P.

Along with the avi file was a file with extension srt labeled as English subtitles which I determined to be a "softsub" title file.

I have tried VLC and Divx players but neither seemed to recognize the subtitle file. Anyone know what I am talking about and can suggest a player?

I found that Media Player Classic works if you change video to VMR9 instead of the default overlay mode. Then open the subtitle file after opening the avi.
