Now you're just flailing helplessly, with the carpet pulled from underneath you - kinda like that robot in "Lost in Space".

Here's a hint, gramps - just give it up, and bail while you still have a chance. You're not doing yourself any favors...

Daffy, EPC will be in Thailand when you arrive and depart on your 2 week vacation. That totals 6 weeks year to date Daffy, nothing to envy there. I'm currently enjoying a nice Italian red wine in a 5 Star hotel over looking a famous lagoon.

Daffy, how many people were massacred at the beauty salon? Hey notice how all the famous Austrians are narcissists (the fuhrer and the governator) !

Chow!

PS: Daffy there are some good looking girls in Austria, is it a result of that "Master Race" program?

The "iGenius" Of Steve Jobs: "Mythbusters" On The Making Of A Documentary Tribute
BY SUSAN KARLIN
They only saw the script a few days before the show airs, yet this Sunday Mythbusters Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman will guide viewers on a Discovery Channel special devoted to Steve Jobs. "Corporations should take note," Hyneman tells us, "to follow their vision and not have it watered down and flattened by committees."

You'd think the guys who wrangled President Obama for their show would have at least crossed paths with Steve Jobs. Or that the folks who try to repair a bear-ravaged plane with only duct tape could make anything happen (hello time machine!).

Alas, no. But this Sunday, Mythbusters Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman do get to help the Discovery Channel honor his memory by hosting a one-hour tribute, iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed the World, premiering Oct. 16 at 8pm ET/ PT. On the show, Savage and Hyneman guide viewers through archival footage and commentary from such luminaries as NBC News’ Tom Brokaw, theoretical physicist Michio Kaku, and Stevie Wonder, about their encounters with the Apple co-founder and CEO, and how his technology impacted their lives.

I've noticed that Cal Eden has now joined EPC in making *absolutely* no sense either. Serious need of some remedial education.

In other news - here's something that will undoubtedly make EPC, CalEden, and snpark completely lose it...

California governor declares October 16 as Steve Jobs Day

California gov Brown dedicates day to Jobs

California governor Jerry Brown declared that Sunday, October 16th would be Steve Jobs Day for the state. While strictly for observance and not time off, it would give the late Apple co-founder a treatment normally reserved for non-corporate heroes. The day coincides with a private memorial at Stanford and may be synchronized.

Jobs' receiving a special day, even if minor, reflects sentiments that Jobs was a boon to California. He helped establish the modern concept of Silicon Valley and shifted attention to the state after redefining the computer, MP3 player, smartphone, and tablet markets during his lifetime. Companies like Microsoft and Nokia that once were content to stay in their home states or countries but eventually put at least a satellite presence in California to understand the culture Apple helped create.

Directly, Jobs' fostering Apple's record growth led to about 20,000 jobs at Apple corporate, the largest portion of which works out of California, and brought breakthrough revenue into the state, even if only some of it is taxed locally.

What a great story:

http://blog.pluckytree.org/2011/10/last-time-i-saw-steve-jobs.html

I worked at Apple from April of 1999 through July of 2011. I've never written publicly about that experience, but I wanted to share a little moment that will always be with me, even though it's not of any great significance.

After leaving my job at Apple, I dropped in for lunch one day. I was exiting the main building, Infinite Loop One, and just ahead of me was Steve Jobs, walking with the usual spring in his step that never seemed to go away even as he started looking more frail. Bumping into Steve was a surprisingly common occurrence for such a large company as Apple.

Steve was heading towards a car parked next to the curb with its door open, waiting for him. The car was idling. A family was standing near the Apple sign outside the building, a common site for people to take photos on their pilgrimages to Apple.

The father turned to Steve as he passed close by and asked, "Excuse me, sir, would you mind taking our photo?"

Steve paused for a moment as an iPhone was extended to him, realizing that they didn't seem to know who he was. With a hint of enthusiasm, he said "Sure!" as he took the iPhone into his hands.

Steve took a great deal of care composing the photo, backing up a few steps several times, tapping the iPhone screen to lock focus, then said "Smile!" as he snapped the photo, grinning a little bit himself to encourage the family to follow suit.

He handed back the iPhone and they said "Thank you, sir" as Steve stepped into his car, closed the door, and was driven away. The family looked at the photo that Steve had taken and all agreed that it looked great. Then the iPhone was pocketed and they were on their way.

And that was the last time I saw Steve Jobs.

I have first hand accounts from the 70's through the mid 80's from both engineers and programmers. Example, my secretary's husband was a Apple programmer from the beginning. Believe me I heard every time he got a software check, this was a time when merit raises were in the 20% range (Silicon Valley gold rush era), even then his software checks were like winning the lotto! At the the beginning it was critical that Apple get the software out there, there was a severe shortage of Apple programs for users. Everything was Microsoft and Apple could not compete as far as applications. Apple programmers were making tons of money for programs, that were common on Microsoft based systems.

Ok, iDumb you believe every anecdotal story Bush/Obama tells on the campaign trail. Good story but, your about as smart the average US voter. Not the image your trying to portray on the btf sex forum. Your just a perverted sex tourist that you accuse others of being and after being thrown out of dozens of sex forums, you continue to make the same stupid mistakes...dumber than dumb and others too stupid to realize there are five sides of reality (the one you perceive, the one you want to believe, the perception of others, facts and Daffy's delusional world).

By the way I'm enjoying life in the lagoon city, get a life Daffy Dumb! (just to remind you Daffy you brought up the quality of life issue).

The Prosecco is excellent and free in the executive lounge, even for breakfast if you desire!

Actually, your circle-jerk buddy EPC did - but I don't expect you to pay attention to such details... you know, like 'facts' or 'the truth'.

...oh, and how entirely unexpected for *YOU* to drag up the old "sex-tourist" finger-pointer, again. Seriously, this coming from *YOU* is rather the height of hypocrisy... again, not surprising... and not surprising at all that you have chosen to cut your losses, and bail with your tail tucked between your legs at this point...
