One might actually argue that the forum would improve if that were the case.
In fact, looking at the sum total of "contributions" from CE, snpark, this godfather stand-by account, gramps, and that one other guy - you'd see that none of them have contributed ANYTHING AT ALL to this forum, for the past couple of year - yet they are the ones constantly bemoaning how the forum is going downhill.
Every single time when I have challenged or invited them to turn a new leaf, bury their hatred, and start contributing something meaningful, they have.... done absolutely nothing.
Just slunk away quietly, and a couple of weeks later, the snark attacks would start again, the thread disruptions would continue, the continued thread stalking and forum disruptions would persist.
If only such incessantly disruptive behavior on the main forum were against the rules..

Hmmm, would the following quotes all be considered "flames and abusive language"?

Unlike the Duck I like opposition to my held views.
For instance I am not always right.
Expat pointed this out on my long away view on American politics ( such as abortion )....pointing out that Republicans couldn't do as the platform stated,

Apple shares are good to sell off and buy later....
Samsung might be appealing to the masses more so ( for whatever reason)
I share the ducks political leanings.....but I don't like turning on individuals...but rather trreat the man as worthy of acknowledging their views...
Then maybe passionately attacking the views not person.
Occansionally saying to myself "" they won that debate."
But the duck is not all wrong either.
Perhaps over Optomistic on issues on apple....but it's still validi we are talking about Apple.
People rip into duck maybe more so than apple?

I am social minded so agree with taking care of folks.
I own apple products so know they are good.

I think it is hilarious that Daffy has suddenly gotten religion and is citing forum rules against flaming.
I guess he isn't smart enough to know we could go back through his posts and find 100's of posts where he has called others names and degraded them. Come to think of it, there might be 1,000's of them.
Anyway, he isn't worth a bucket of warm spit so why worry about him.

I would suggest removal of all the off-topic, disruptive, and deliberately flaming posts in this thread, in order to bring it back on topic. Wouldn't hurt to freeze those doing the disrupting for a couple of weeks either.
Back on topic - Blackberry claims they are off to a good start in the UK, while refusing to release any actual numbers.
I have no doubt that they will do well the first couple of months, selling to their faithful. I just doubt that they will take any marketshare away from Apple or Android.
Probably a bunch of girls in Thailand will crave the new Blackberry - well, until about July. Then they will regret it.

Daffy the liar, starts fabricating fake stories about the person. If it gets too slow, Daffy will start a thread or post specifically designed to bait.
