Are we supposed to tip in Arkane? I just am not sure if the price is supposed to be all inclusive as this is a japanese and that is their way of doing things. I normally give a tip but I don't know if it is too big/small or not necessary.

Requirement, or shop speciality? If anal-digital were truly a Japanese requirement, me thinks both shops would have endless lines around the corner, in which case Akane would be better off setting up a special Japanese-only colon probe booth near the baggage claim at the airport.

Interestingly enough, Akane did in fact set about doing this at Don Muan airport six months ago.
They were refused a licence and so their application was turned down.
The lawyer acting for Akane enqired as to why they were refused since they are a ligitimate (or digitintimate ) concern and was told that the airlines already had the franchise on that since they shafted every man, woman and child who bought a ticket.
Needless to say Akane are not pursuing the plan of a similar booth at the new international airport, now due to be open in July or September or 2007/8/9.

That's interesting. I sure can't wait for when those foxy flight attendents start doing body-scrubs as an included service with the cost to fly. So long as they remove their standard uniform as part of the package. Oh the dreams!

As mentioned on the website, tipping is not required and a lot of (mostly Japanese) customers don't or tip small amounts (50! - 300 THB).
But it's up to you (and me; I always give a reasonable tip) so when you like the lady/service... For them it's just a job so they appreciate this extra money anyway.

Knowing that the girl gets about the equivalent of four English pounds for giving you an hour of pleasure and bringing you off, not tipping, even if you live here, amounts to theft.
If you don't tip, they'll smile and wai you and wave you on your way and next time greet you as if they are so happy to see you.
But I'm sure they have their own thoughts about the so-called cheap charlies who take account of every one baht coin they accidently drop down into the gutter.
And these girls look after one another, whether a massage parlour,a go-go bar or an ordinary bar or even an extra-ordinary bar like the superlative Star of Light, the girls have a cameraderie and sense of a caring community in their little establishments second to none.
You don't find that easily anywhere else.
So yes, I tip.
Some say that the Japanese don't tip here.
I've known a few that do. But O.K. some don't. But don't use that as your excuse not to give a little extra if you can afford it...and most of us can.

Not true. It's nice to tip, but if you don't tip, it is not theft.
Tipping inside Japan is considered insulting. Japanese will tip, outside of Japan to non-Japanese. The prices listed at Akane already have an all inclusive tip. Additional tips are above and beyond and will certainly be accepted. Akane staff are not Japanese, so it doesn't matter if you do or not.
However, this thread is not about whether one should tip or not. It's about Akane and the service they provide. If a girl makes me cum twice, sure I'll tip 1000 Baht.
