A lot of guys give a few hundred baht or so for a tip (well, I do, maybe others more), so maybe she kinda expected more than your one hundred baht tip. Or maybe she was just trying to figure it out. Anyway, it's a tip so I wouldn't worry too much; I wonder if there are those who don't leave one; and you saw how she went back to being great. That kind of service is why I always give a little more at Tulips.

I'm a little confused by the last few posts. The four times I've been to Tulip, I paid the standard (I think) 600 to the house for 90 minutes, and 1500 to the lady for her excellent (as always, it seems, at Tulip) service.
I never sensed that a lady "appeared p*ssed", whatever that means: drunk, angry, or passed out from your session with her.... hopefully, in post-orgasmic ecstasy.
More likely, Meaty confused her by handing her 2000, which she may have thought, at first, was all hers. To avoid confusion and embarrassment, I pay the house their fee, and hand the lady her fee, separately.
Mel's comment needs to be explained: "Rather than tips (in my opinion they are quite crass) I'd prefer a 2,000 BAHT fee but no exceptional service no pay."
This is the kind of ambiguous English I have come to expect from Thais. Mel, do you mean that the session should be free if the lady is not exceptional? Or...?
And why is giving a tip for good service, in an underpaid, disrespected profession, crass? Maybe this is a cultural difference between us. As an American, I was raised in a culture (if you will) that encourages tipping for good, or even decent, service, in some service professions. Like you, Mel, I worked several jobs in America and never received a tip because I was fairly paid by my employers.
In my 15 years in Thailand, I've learned to adjust my tipping habits somewhat. First I learned not to overtip because I would only be seen as a lame dupe overpayer. Then I learned how little many Thais earn from working their service jobs, and I started tipping more to the many waitresses, taxi drivers, security guards and others who help make my life here so pleasant and convenient.
But at Tulip and other oilies, I always pay the standard 600 + 1500 for 90 minutes, no tip. This seems a fair price to me. Am I wrong?

Guys, The ladies at Tulip are not Paid out of the massage fee. The only money they make is in "Extras".
Standard Pricing for FS is 1500 across all Oilies but what if the girl makes you come twice? and you f*** her ass for over 20 minutes? and she gives you a Great BBBJCIM finish? don't you think that this deserves 2000? I think so.
I think that Tulip girls who go out of their way to give exceptional service should be rewarded accordingly.

I agree entirely.
I think the misconception that the girls get paid enough is that customers learn of one practice somewhere and then assume that the girls get the same share in every other place. And as you know, this is definitely not the case.
Years ago, I used tro ask each girl how much of a cut they were getting from the whole pay-out. Most would tell the truth and the few that would be tempted to lie, corrected themselvers on subsequent visits when they realised that I frequented the place and knew a few of the other girls.
If I do get drift of a management or ownership change, I usually start to make quiet enquiries again, just to re-establish my info on the place.
I was horrified years back when I learnt that the Star of Light girls only got 300 out of the 500, now 4 out of the 7, for each blow. I could never leave and do not leave without giving what I can afford as a reasonable tip.
The same for Tulips.
I think if guys followed Nic Frenchy's advice, according to their individual means, then that would be fair.
What guys need to bear in mind, whilst partaking of the pleasures that are on offer anywhere here, is that there are no equal opportunity rights, no employment rights, no health plans, no insurance nor pension plans nor sick day nor compassionate leave allowances for these girls. They come to Bangkok with nothing and are treated as such.
There is no excuse for more fortunate individuals, such as ourselves, to do the same.
Tulip girls are a great bunch of girls and very, very generous in what they bestow on the customer.
It should be reciprocated, in kind.

I totally agree with NicFrenchy.
The 1500 is IMHO for the minimum service level.
I always pay an additional Tulip tip and increasing it to 2K to 2.5K is I believe fair.

To give you a real example: I once gave Miss Poo 3k.
I originally booked 90 minutes and then extended for another 90. Total of 3 hours.

If the girl work hard to make me come twice then she get 2000, 2500 if over 2 hours...
When I see what money the (mostly useless) Gogo-girls ask nowaday for a ST I think we should consider ourself lucky to have places like Eden & Tulip where good service is the norm and not a rare find, and not underpay the good providers.

Actually just over $3 but I don't see the relevance for the currency exchange as I don't hail from the US, nor do I receive compensation in US$. If so I have no beef, but I didn't know this was now the expectation and hence did not act accordingly. The 100 baht was not even intended as a specific tip, I simply rounded the 1,900 fee up to match notes in my wallet and didn't expect change.
Before I left she passed me her business card, actually a standard Tulip card with her name hand written on it with her mobile, she has given that to me knowing what I expect and knowing what I paid....i may well have misread her being p*issed (meaning p*ssed off for those that didn't understand!). I returned the card though explaining I have nowhere to keep it and she made a joke about me being married.
After all of this, my only request would be clarification for all, are we now saying Tulips is the house + 2,000baht and if less is given (but more than 1,500) we are 'cheating' the girls ?

What?
Let me explain something: 1500 is the Price for Sex at an Oily. Period.
You would pay a starfish or a Good 1 shot performer the same amount. Do we agree?
Now what if the Lady gave you 2 shots in your 90mn session? with Anal and CIM? don't you think that she would deserve a Tip over and Above the 1500?
