Yes, when I was in BK about 12 days back the sign at the Airport states that one day overstay No fine!

Maybe at the airport, but last time I was at Poi Pet they were fining 1 day overstayers. They were stamping their passports to say they had overstayed and filling out the forms too. Probably not worth arguing though, especially if you are one of those 30 day visa run guys. Might start asking awkward questions.
