The gun shops in BKK use to be a tourist attraction for those unlucky EU gawkers who aren't even allowed to carry a pocket knife on them.
However, I think around 2002-2003 the Gun Laws changed in Thailand, and it was not the free for all anymore. I remember reading stories about unhappy gun shop owners going out of business.
I have looked around that street with all the gun shops. Pretty dull if you are used to a USA gun shop. They don't have huge selections, but they have plenty of gear like holsters, cleaning equipment, etc.
