Next month I will be looking for a place I can stay or rent for a period of 6 months.
Can anyone suggest good places in the area between the Sanam Pao and Phaya Thai BTS. I have reasons for wanting a place around there.

Plenty of good places around Soi Rangnam - and good area to stay/shop/eat/check out the TGs at Dusit uni too ! Victory Residence is OK, small but not too pricey, although most that are half decent are in the 15-25,000bt per month range. Also a good one at the far end of soi rangnam, just down a lane beside a restaurant that does good American breakfasts cheap.

I stayed at Victory Residence for 4 months - not a bad place - 14K baht for a small studio though, no kitchen. It's a good location for convenient food and shopping, and access to the BTS. Try the Teesud Isaan Inter restaurant on Soi Rangnam for a decent farang meal as well as excellent Thai food. Also, there are plenty of food stalls with meals for 20 or 30 baht on Rangnam.

Hi,
I stayed in VP Tower before, its in soi Rangnam with a shortcut to the shopping center near Victory Monument.
They got a nice swimming pool on the 4th floor, also inhouse restaurant (with room service) and laundry.
The rooms are spacious, and have a bathtub and balcony. And they are guest friendly too !
Prices start at 10000 Baht per month.

Harry - Yes, Tee sud Issan Inter is not too bad ; worst part is having to listen to Dougs golfing stories ! I think its a great little area, plenty of TGs at the VM shopping mall too !

I tried it twice, didn't like it. There's a place exactly across the street called Suda (I think) ; Thai food and Isaan food. Top notch. I eat there 2-3 times a week and I've never been disappointed.
