I have seen a considerable rise in the disrespect foreigners and visitors to this country pay it by dumping there rubbish and filth everywhere.
If you be tourist or resident you should be way more respectfull of how you treat your hosts country.
The increasing rubbish problem in thius country is primarily caused by the foreigners, be them tourists or living here.
Would you treat your own country this way, if so then they are probably glad you are gone.
You are ruining this pristine land and sea and do not deserve to visit or stay here with such disrespect.

I'm with MOW on this one. Nukes are in order on this issue.
I also understand that most of the traffic problems are a result of all the farangs driving around, not paying any attention to the traffic laws and flouting the police.
Is there any truth to this story?

I do not live in the country but have been coming 3 times a year for the last 30+ years. I am not saying what you see is not true,but I have never seen a foreinger throw any trash in the streets or on the beaches except for some ciggeret butts. In Bangkok and some other cities in thailand there are citizsens trash cops who can fine you should you become a litter bug. Even thou I am a whore monger,I still respect country and would never abuse the women. I have sometimes picked up someone eles litter outside a 7-11 and put it in a trash can> easy to blame the foreigners but never give them the credit for giving money to build homeless shelters,schools ect for kids and poor people.

You are clearly not looking at the Thais in comparison to the Foreigners mate, aren't there any Thais where you stay when you come on holiday?
I have been living here for 14 years and mainly see Thais over and over again discarding their rubbish in the streets and dumping garbage on waste land.
Underground there is a layer of plastic bags running through this country that in 1000 years time, Archaeologists will dig up in bewilderment and wonder as to what these daft little people were thinking dumping their shite in the streets and fields, not educating their children to dispose of waste properly, and basically having no sense to dump in the proper places.
The only blame that can be put on tourists and foreigners is that they just follow the norm....

On my limited travels to LOS, the only trashing I have seen has been my tour guide dumping the leftovers from lunch in the bushs, and a Thai lady holding her baby over the bushs along Suk so it could take a dump.
I'm unfortunate in never having observed tourists trashing LOS.
