just got back from my 3rd trip to AC,always stay at Clarkto Hotel a bit further up Fields Ave but I like it,has "Mirrors" bar open till 3am sometimes later (you can always get a girl s/t to your room b4 you go out) have 24 hr bar that also serves food 24/7 staff are friendly and helpful,the doorman even remembered my name after 4 months as did some of the girls.nice pool clean rooms,good laundry service,deluxe room at 1450 peso a bit dearer but it will do for me.
the bars this end are a little cheaper,Honey Ko's etc charge about 45 peso fo SMB and 1000 b/f when you head towards Brown Sugar (bf'd the door girl 1st night) the prices go up to 1200 b/f and up yo 75 peso for SMB.
near Garfields are 3 samll bars, 2 (formely Rio) have girls in nurses uniform who give bbbj in bar for 3 tequila (300 peso) full srvice upstairs for 700 peso.
Treasure Island still a good place only downfall is its size.
Dollhoude open 24 hours some cute ones but a fair share of horrors.
Cambodia...i didnt like it b4 but its really changed.about 70 girls,mostly lookers and total fruitcakes,lively happy and generally good fun.the boss always buy a round and makes you feel welcome (his brother is manager at Dirty Duck) this was the inplace this time.
Champage...another good place this time around.
Blue Parrot for a 500 peso nosh.
Winchester Club on a Saturday "showtime" night. I know Bill from Pattaya so always made welcome.
Las Vegas not bad but on occasions some shit music.
Blue Nile,Nero still same same
Camelot and lancelot also a good night.

HOTEL WARNING..BEWARE
Several nice hotels have been built on upper Fields across from MO's. The Royal Amsterdam looks impressive but BEWARE. The backside (South End) of the Hotel is lined with open air videoke bars.
This area of strip shops behind Royal Amsterdam is new. There must be 8 videoke bars on that strip that run until 4am with drunken trike drivers singing Western tunes.
The Hotels are trying to close them down but they are not having any luck. If you book Orange Lion which is across the street it's much more quiet.
Also, if you check into any of these places and they ask you to pay in advance, there is probably something wrong with the room. Royal Amsterdam pulled this and I did'nt fall for it, after walking into my room I discovered the problem. They had no rooms available on the other side of the building. I left and walked across the street to the Orange Lion and it was a quiet night's sleep.
Lots of swanky Hotels going up in AC around Fields. They are a bit pricey and have nosie issues. Buyer beware.

A night with Calzoid in AC, so updated info is:
gogo bars seem to be all 1200 barfine. Something for the girl is up to you.
La Bamba is a good bar with great atmosphere.
La Pasha across the street is even better. Nice staff, great girls.
Club Lancelot - OK too. Here is where Calzoid took off and left me talking to a nice girl, although she pulled out cigarettes. OK bye, sweetie. Its a 15 minute maximum trip from Clark to AC, Taxi's are a little rare at Clark, so don't be in a hurray. Its relatively cheap particularly if you can get them to use the Meter!

If you're landing at Clark, I suggest you have someone from the hotel pick you up, if not too expensive. The reason, as Oz says, is that there are very few taxis. Last time Oz and I landed there, we were standing in the sun with everyone trying to steal each others taxis.

CGs post sums up the difference between Thais and Filippinos. A lack of taxis at the airport? The Thais would have tuks tuks streaming to the airport when the plane is on final.
Still I found one pretty easy on my last trip and the hotel wanted 500 pesos more than what I paid for the 10 minute ride. I would take my chances on the taxi and would see about splitting one as well. Any Cano or European is probably going to Perimeter or Fields Ave.
