Sarge
Makati – Manila (3 days) :
I liked Manila and there is definitely a lot more things to do and to see, Makati it’s neat and relatively clean place, by Filipino standards. However, I wasn’t that impressed when I 1st arrived there, also coming from Angeles City I found the bars in P. Burgos horribly expensive and in many cases with no better looking girls than in the Angeles bars. There are some outstanding bars in Makati, as listed below and have enjoyed other places as Ermita for its freelance bars and hectic life style. A worthwhile mention to Glorietta & Greenbelt shopping malls, if I had more time this is where I would pick regulars girls, I chatted up a couple of office workers and exchanged phone numbers; I’ll follow them up next time. I went to Intramuros for the day, very interesting place full of history. It is nice to take a break from intense whoring and girls chasing, from time to time – I also managed to squeeze in a half day trip of Mandaluyong City in Manila. Here my comments on bars I visited and enjoyed:

Flamingo Bar-
The best in town, countless good looking girls, good bar layout, friendly staff, catchy music tunes and electric atmosphere. I went there every single night and enjoyed myself. This was the only bar in Makati where I didn’t mind spending so much as I thought I got value for my money. I bar fined a cute and busty (she had the biggest tits I’ve seen in any bars) dancer, a mixture of shyness and raunchiness; a real Lolita. It was her very 1st day at work and I was her very 1st bar fine and I paid her very 1st LD/s (4 Tequila shots and she loved it), and best of all, she was 18 years old and fresh from university. The memory of her large and firm bouncing tits while she rode me and her look of mischief painted in her face, in a balmy and serene night in Makati will stay with me a long time. The second best bonk in Manila; superb petite Lolita.

Bandito-
At 1st I wasn’t that impressed with this bar but I got friendly with the mamasan, mollified her with a couple of Tequila shots and blurted my request: “I’m in need of a real Malibog girl, which one would you recommend?” – She replied: “We have a few here, have a look around, choose one and I’ll tell you if she is Malibog or not”. So I picked this sexy kitten dancing with abandon, in front of a mirror. Slender and feline body, long highlighted hair, small breast but long, long legs and white-ish skin complexion; mamasan said: “You chose well, we already have a great feedback on this girl and I’m sure she’s what you are looking for. You have good taste on women”. She was called over and sat on my lap, embraced me and rubbed her bum on my crotch. Three Tequila shots later we were on our way to the hotel and……wow, she rocked my world that night and again the following morning. My best ever sexual experience in Philippines; a 19 years old girl from Mandaluyong City; she hang on in the morning for a few hours and we exchanged phone numbers and email addresses.

Unspecified bar (can’t remember the name) -
This is a bar next to Dimples, corner with Durban Street (where Oxford Suite hotel is) and Padre Burgos Avenue, for some reason the name still escapes me (maybe some of you guys can name it) ; anyway it was almost on par with Flamingo in term of high concentration of stunners and ambience. As soon as I walked in several girls were all over me, fussing over, rubbing my neck and shoulders - one got grip of my crotch and wouldn’t let it go. In the end I was “picked up” by a stunning looking girl and she made sure that we escaped the crowd to a quieter spot, so that she could work on me without distraction from other business hungry co-workers. I could see that not only she was gifted with great looks and cat-walk model like figure but also she was smart and able to hold an intelligent conversation with ease. She acted and sounded older than her 24 years, and came from a middle class family or so she claimed; I was so entranced with her that I didn’t bat an eyelid when I was asked to pay P.3,000 for the bar fine and quoted the standard P.3,000 tip to the girl for long time. Anyway, once in the hotel room she opened up her heart to me, telling me her life story, being single mum and all of that. She cried on my shoulder and it kind of put a dampener on things. In the end she recomposed herself and was determined to give me a good time in bed, but my mood was gone and I went through the motions without any real urge. I sent her away shortly after even though she looked disappointed at not being able to stay overnight “to take care of me” (her words).

Matrix-
This isn’t a go-go bar but a restaurant and bar where foreigners (and Arabs too) hang around. I dined there a couple of times not because of the food quality or because of the quality of freelancers, who circled the place like hungry sharks but rather because I was fascinated by this open air freak show. I mean, where else in Manila you can find a motley crew of underage beggars (begging you for money and food hand outs), relentless hawkers (Viagra is the 1st word coming of their mouth), rough looking freelancers, rude Arab sex tourists, an assorted bunch of over the hill, fatso & hopeless foreigners (both residents and tourists), chaotic and noisy traffic. At one stage while I was eating me dinner and staring at this twilight world, I was approached at my table by a vendor trying to sell me dried mango fruit, behind me an underage beggar was bleating for some food off my plate, unnoticed another hawker sneaked under the table wanting to polish my shoes while at a distance another vendor was waiting his turn to sell me a guitar! I just screamed at them to sod off and leave alone, the whole world came to a standstill, everybody looked at me in surprise and then they quickly left me alone to eat my dinner.

Edsa-
I went there last night in Manila and I thought that I would never make it as it was chucking down with rain and the dodgy taxi I was in was struggling to make headway through flooded streets and manic traffic jams. Maybe I should have never bothered as the whole place was a disappointment. Yes, ok I went there at about 9.30pm but it was devoid of customers apart from the ubiquitous Koreans who they seemed to follow me in every bar I went to. In all the bars there, girls didn’t show much interest and looked bored, only coming alive when these Koreans went in. There was only one half decent bar, can’t remember the name but it’s the one on the far right corner when you enter the complex. Left the place one and half hour later, won’t be back there in a hurry.

L.A. Café-
This joint reminds me of a Latino bar/restaurant/disco place I used to go in Central London, a few years ago. I went to L.A. Café twice, 1st time at the top floor, where the live music is at night time. I was charged P.150 entrance fee per person, and I had to pay for my drinks while my female companion was offered a free Tequila shot but as she opted for SML I had to pay for that too. In terms of girls quality I would say it was a mixed bag, there were a few cuties, mainly in the top floor but overall quality was average. Most girls looked like hungry sharks waiting for their feed time; the second time I went there at lunch time and stayed downstairs. I could have bagged the 18 years old Leyte waitress who served my drinks (made arrangement to pick her up at the end of her shift, but I didn’t return as I later in the evening found a better prospect). I got friendly with a Samar freelancer and after a while she proudly showed me her shiny new Nokia cell phone, which was a gift from one of her customers; she said her rate was P.2,000 for short time (get away!...) to which I just laughed at her face. Anyway we got on well, she offered me to show where Edsa complex is (we jumped on a taxi to there) and after she took me to Havana bar/restaurant (in Greenbelt shopping mall, Makati), where she also hangs out with other freelancers; I left her there a couple hours later. I think that L.A. Café is place to visit when you need a quick leg-over at odd hours (morning times) and or when you want to pretend that you’ve just picked your one night stand at a disco, as you would back home. Next time I want to try Amazonia

Havana-
A trendy Latino bar/restaurant, in Greenbelt shopping mall, Makati; there are several other eating places nearby. Just sit down in the outside tables and enjoy people watching, looking at the local talent (loads of young and beautiful regular pinays). I tried out the food, not bad by Filipino standards, I had a full 3 courses meal with a SML and the damage was at P.1,150. It ain’t an immediately obvious spot for freelancers; most customers are regular Filipinos and there are few foreigners too. While I was eating my lunch a sexy and dark skinned pinay (she later told she was from Cebu) sat next to me and started to chat me up; she was a freelancer touting for business. I was quite tempted to take her back to my hotel but I had already arranged for a threesome session with a couple of freelancer masseuses (see next) and I was due to fly out of Philippines later in the evening. In the Greenbelt complex there is an open air Catholic Church, right in the middle of a small park, I quite liked it and went there a couple times when I wanted to relax and get away from it all. After the meal, I went there again; later on the Cebuana freelancer followed me and went inside, she sat next to me. We started talking and observing the rites, after a while I bid her farewell, stood up and made exit. She decided to leave at the same time as me, some church goers looked at us in surprise as they must have thought that I had picked up a woman inside a church – the look on their faces was priceless!

Makati Freelancers-
There is a novel approach at freelancing in P. Burgos, met 3 girls who gave me a business card offering massage services with extras. They come to your hotel room or apartment and are available 24/7 with as such as short notice of 30 to 45 minutes depending on your location. They weren’t beauties but I was charmed by their mannerism and entrepreneurial spirit. I didn’t take up their services that night and after chatting them up I asked the prettiest of the three (a 24 years old from Leyte) to accompany me to L.A. Café as I never been there and wanted someone to show me the place. She was a good sport throughout the evening and at the end I gave her some pocket money for her trouble. The next day, following the hardcore bonking session with the Mandaluyong superstar and a day out at Intramuros, I sent her a sms requesting her services. She arrived at my hotel room 40 minutes later and started a body-to-body massage, which was surprisingly good and then we moved on to decent shag; final bill was P. 1,500. On my last day in Philippines, a few hours before I was due to fly back home to Australia, I asked her to organise me a threesome with one of her mates and they both came to my room and enjoyed double service. What a nice sending off!

Oxford Suites Hotel:
This hotel is right bang in the tick of action, just off Padre Burgos Avenue; tastefully decorated and new-ish furniture. Super attentive staffs, all my requests were promptly acted upon. I paid US $54 for a deluxe room (incl. of breakfast) it didn’t have a swimming pool but it knocked spot off the Orchid Inn of AC in every respect. Guest friendly, they let my girls come up my room without fuss. I already booked it again for my return in January 2006. Recommended

Bits & Pieces:

Koreans – I heard that there is a thriving English language school business in Cebu catering for Koreans students…WTF! going to Philippines to learn English?

Koreans again - why is it that so many young ones sport this mop head hair style and look like as if they’d smoked one joint too many?

Koreans yet again - most pinays I have spoken to said that they find Koreans weird and can’t warm to them; I entirely share their feelings…

Makati vendors - there was this woman flogging stale flowers in the middle of P. Burgos Avenue and when it started raining she switched to umbrella service to foreigners caught under the rain and demanding 10 pesos for her trouble.

Beggars - one time when I was eating roast chicken and chips dinner at Matrix, I felt sorry for these child beggars who were eyeing up my food with hunger. So I threw half chicken at them, across the street and it was like the feeding frenzy you see at lion cages at the zoo.

Hawkers - who’s that nut case hanging out at L.A. Café? He acts as self-appointed taxi finder for foreigners returning back to their hotel with the catch of the night. He demands 10 pesos for the service and doesn’t take no for answer; last time I was there, I pre-emptied his actions by walking 100 metres further down the street before attempting to flag down a cabbie. He kept looking at me at distance, and when he understood my intention he stopped a taxi, jumped inside and ordered it to drive him 100 metres down the road to where I was - Cheeky sod! He then jumped out of the taxi and triumphantly opened the passenger door for me and my companion and then demanded his 10 pesos. Well not mate, a discussion ensued and finally the taxi driver told him to piss off as I was steeping out of the car to look for another taxi. Understandably the taxi driver didn’t want to lose business over this weirdo.

Islands hopping – I flew out of Diosdado Macapagal airport in Angeles City (formerly known as Clark airport) to Cebu via Caticlan. I used SEA airlines, flying in a 32 seats German made, 2 props engine Dornier 328. The view from above the skies and the feel of flying in such small aircraft was awesome. http://www.flyseair.com/01fleet.php

Meter taxis – never had a problem in finding a taxi with a working meter in Manila. I hired a private car and a driver in Cebu, it cost me P. 1,800 all inclusive from 10am in the morning to 7pm in the evening. First class service and friendly attitude

Karaoke Bars – I went into one in Cebu City with my Cebuana and 5 of her girlfriends. Pinays are keen karaoke singers and they love to show off in front of friends and loved ones. They sang for a couple of hours a mixture of Western and Tagalog love songs.

Money shops – following the advice of friends I brought cash only with me and never had any problems at all. My AUS $ were quickly converted in to Philippines Pesos without fuss and always with a radiant smile.

Hey sarge, that was good enough for me to copy and keep as my reference for my trip later this year. I hope to add a few bits n' pieces but your FR is a good place for me to start from.
