Planning on visiting KL in July, any updated info on where the action is and price quotes (LT / ST) ??

Was there 2 years ago and wasn't impressed, limited selection which equals to bad male-female ratio.

Remember hotel prices being cheap (60.00 U.S.) for a 3 star place and FLs (PI mainly and some Thais) asking about 100.00 for all night. Taxis were also cheap.

Did visit the casino, place was packed and didn't have time to look around for company (brought my own, one of those 100.00 all night PI ladies). Gave her 100.00 to play with, which lasted about 2 hours on the slots and I dropped a few 100.00 on Black Jack.

Sporadic
Trip last month to KL.

Malaysian flight was fine, not at all full, empty seat next to me on the outbound leg, a complete row of five (armrests up) poor manīs flat bed coach seat on the flight back to Rome. 12 hour flights. STUNNING stews.

Arrival and customs/immigration was a breeze, and the "budget" taxi at 67 RM was fine for the 45 minute drive into KL from KLIA. The train from the airport is cool, but my hotel was not too close to the terminus, so I just grabbed a cab.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza, monorail stop right in front of the hotel.

I had put in some serious reading on the "other" forum, and was a bit let down by the quality reported.

Hit a couple bars just a block or two away and found a fair to middling selection of Pinays. Drinks were a tad expensive but acceptable.

Ladies asked for 300RM ($75USD) for all night, and accepted 200. Ok service, no problems bringing the girls back to the hotel.

Several MP hawkers made themselves known on the street, not my thing, so I passed.

One massage hawker/Mamasan parked herself right in front of the hotel (well, the end of driveway anyway) and produced a car with 4 Pinays in about 7 minutes for my perusal.

I did this twice, paid 200RM for 4 hours (my choice, did not want an all-nighter that night) and 300 for full night 9pm until 9am.

It was heartbreaking to be so close to BKK but unable to make the trip owing to work commitments. No comparison to BKK of course, but not exactly the wasteland suggested by some on the other forum.

If you have to be there on business, it is an ok scene, not great, not bleak. If you want ethnic Chinese or Malay or Indian, prices rise (had to chuckle about that one, I get all the PRC I need in DXB at decent prices.)

I suggest just a little discretion, owing to local sensibilities, but certainly nothing so bad as in DXB for example, and you CAN buy a beer in the 7-11.

The biz was IMHO squarely aimed at my demographic (white, middle-aged businessman types) and more than one girl mentioned that the MIBīs (cops dress in black, hence MIB) leave the biz folks and good hotels alone.
YMMV.

Part 1 of 4: Prologue

[tags = Hotel, LT, bars, clubs, all night, Beach Club]

Anyone reading the other forum might assume that "all" that is on offer in KL are the ST spas. Far from it. But it does seem to be the "standard" method for residents. However, I was a visitor...

Arrival
Flew in via Air Asia. They have their own terminal in KL.
  • Good news: there are no "bus" gates (where a bus takes you to the plane)
  • Bad news: there are no jetways either. Every gate is a "walking" gate - you walk to the plane. There are tin roof shelters to protect from rain and sun, but NOT from the heat...
You get what you pay for, and a little discomfort worth the savings, to me anyway.

Air Asia offers a bus service to KL Central station, and it can be paid for at the same time you buy your on-line ticket. Good deal. Trip is advertised at 75 minutes; took me 60.

ATM's at the airport terminal, but can be crowded (and if you've pre-paid the bus fare, don't need the ringgit yet). Number of atm's in Central station.

Taxi's cannot be taken "direct" from either airport or Central Station - you go to a taxi booth, tell them your destination, and pay them. They give you a coupon which you give to the driver. No doubt a method implemented to keep the drivers from ripping off unsuspecting tourists. Traffic can be bad (not as bad as BKK) during rush hours.

There are numerous metro services (trains) to various parts of KL from the Central station (hence its name, duh). One of the main streets, popular with tourists, and punters, is Jalan Sultan Ismail, which can be reached by the monorail. Think BABY Bangkok Skytrain, more like Disneyland. But functional, if small, and not crowded, at least not during rush hour. Given current construction (April 2010) at Central Station, it is a bit of a hike to the monorail stop - would NOT suggest it unless you are traveling light. But like all metro services, it does beat the traffic.

Hotel
I stayed at the ParkRoyal on Jalan Sultan Ismail. Close to the monorail, to one of the OLDER shopping districts, and, most important for me, reasonably close to the Beach Club, my primary destination. But it was not so close as to be a temptation for a wg to bail out and return to the Beach Club for an attempt at a double-header (thanks Bionicman for that bit of wisdom).

ParkRoyal to Beach Club was walkable for me (but I don't wear high heels), and I would not expect any girl to walk back there. It is also conveniently reached by monorail, 2 stops. However, the monorail does stop at midnight, so it's a taxi home if you've been successful.

On the walk there, on one side of Jalan Sultan Ismail, I did pass some suspicious stairwells leading up, my suspicions confirmed by the ladies sitting in front, offering massages. One grabbed me, saying, "30 minutes, good body, 30", which I took with quite a bit of skepticism that that would be the 'final' price. Given that none of the masseuses were "imperative", easily passed, but with more time, might have been worth the "adventure".

While considered, I did not stay at the cheaper Fortuna Hotel ($50 usd vs the PR's $75 usd, all + tax), same general area. I thought, incorrectly, that a bigger hotel would have more "civilian" traffic, thus easy to mix in to reduce walk of shame. This not the case: at all hours that I came and went, lobby was fairly deserted. I had booked a double room, just to avoid any potential "unpleasantries", but was never stopped by security, even when "accompanied". I will say that my guests were, if not conservatively dressed, certainly not "poster girl" wg's (some outfits I did see at the Beach Club could only be taken back to private residences). So cannot say for certain that the double room booking was necessary; I just viewed as insurance.

I will say that I did receive some attention from security: retiring with a guest one evening, found out that the room did NOT include a bottle opener (I being of the "thanks, but I'll buy my own drinks to put in the mini-bar" family). Had to go back downstairs to seek assistance in getting the bottle open. Once successful, on my way back to the elevator, I did get a BIG smile from the security guard, and he kindly walked over to push the elevator button, no doubt wishing to send me SPEEDILY on my way to my destination.

Only walk of shame, a small one, was in the morning of my departure, she not leaving until I did, so there was the visible departure in front of all the hotel staff, as she left for the door, and I had to walk the full length of the lobby to the cashier. No big deal though.

If you can get a reasonable price, I do recommend the ParkRoyal, though it does not seem to be readily recognized by the Beach Club wg's.

Beach Club
I had heard of the Beach Club, but had never been. It's on Jalan P Ramlee, which is meaningless to the visitor. What is meaningful is that it is 30 m off of Jalan Sultan Ismail, close to the Concorde Hotel and Hard Rock Cafe, Bukit Nanas monorail stop.

If coming via monorail, exit side of Concorde Hotel, walk past the Concorde (on your left), and at the major intersection (read traffic light), turn left. Big Beach Club neon sign.

If coming the other way, from the ParkRoyal hotel, past the Hotel Equatorial, the next MAJOR intersection, you should be able to see the Beach Club to your right. If you've gone past the Concorde, you've gone too far.

Got there just before 10pm. Entrance on a weeknight was 35 ringgit, which included 1 drink. You select your drink when you pay the entrance fee.

Layout of Beach Club:
Once you pay at the entrance
  • To your right is a long "veranda". A number of wg's congregate here.
  • To your left, a few steps, is an open patio, with a small bar. To the right of the bar, is an open, roofed area. Wg's to be found here, as they are EVERYWHERE at the Beach Club. The bar here, although small, tends to be much less crowded than the main bar, when you want a drink.
  • Directly in front of you, is a "secondary" room, used, I believe, as an eating area earlier in the day. This room is connected to the main bar (to the right), one large entrance, with large 'empty' (open space, no glass) "windows" on each side, giving you a view of the main bar and the band. On the far wall is another 'secondary' bar, again, easier to get a drink than the main bar.
  • The main bar is to the right of the street entrance. The actual bar is rectangular, long and relatively narrow. Service can be slow, and be forewarned, the next 28 ringgit beer you buy, if you give 30, good luck on getting your change...

Next to the bar is a somewhat open area, tables down the center and seats on the other side, with the stage and band at the back. Band is OK, but with a name something like the "funkadelics", not exactly my type of music, though some rock can be heard. It is NOT Dubai's Seaview band, that is for sure (but few are, having their range and repertoire). But certainly listenable, while "shopping".

As stated, drinks not exactly cheap, but probably the same elsewhere.

Given the "divided" nature of the club, it can be difficult to see all on offer. There is no "central" migratory path for flocking birds. And if you see someone "special", she can quickly disappear.

In the main bar area, I would recommend avoiding the tables next to the exits, both to the "secondary" room and to the outside veranda. These tend to get jostled by the passing crowds, and drinks are spilled regularly.

For the "extra" staff: I interviewed mostly Vietnamese, with some PRC's thrown in, along with some Cambodians, 1 Philipina. Number of Africans around, although a distinct minority when compared to ALL the Asians. Also some Europeans (assume eastern/CIS), but most past their sell by dates, along with some T-54's. But given this is Asia, that's who you come for, a veritable Asian smorgasbord.

Leaving Beach Club
Departure will hopefully be by taxi, you being accompanied. On leaving, you will be confronted by a swarm of drivers, looking for your business. As usual, you will be quoted outrageous prices initially, but they soon drop to reasonable levels as you continue to walk. "By meter" does not seem to be an option, and I didn't want to spend all that much time with trying to get the "best" taxi fare - I had other things on my mind. I paid 10 ringgit 1 night, 15 the next (5 ringgit not worth the hassle) to get back to the ParkRoyal.

Excellent FR. Unlike BKK, the damn taxis have a midnight surcharge as well, which is an additional 50% of the fare on the meter. This is similar to Singapore, if I am not mistaken.

Many years ago (it was definitely after 2004 as she told me that she managed to avoid the Tsunami in Phuket because she woke up late), I snagged a TG from Beach Club, and we went to her room which was just across the street. This was very convenient as I didn't have to bother with a short time room. I have to get back to the Beach Club again.

Great detailed FR, thanks. I am curious on what nationality you chose & the price quoted. I was there 3 weeks back & the Price has risen from 6 months back where $300 Ringgit was the norm to anybody of quality asking for $500+. One very cute African asked for $1,200!! She wasn't joking!

Part 2 of 4: Beach Club, the "Amateur"

[tags = Hotel, LT, bars, clubs, all night, Beach Club]

Arrived just before 10pm on a Tuesday night. Place packed solid, I'm GUESSING a 40/60 M/F ratio.

As SOON as I paid my 35 ringgit, I took 1 step and KNEW I had been marked. I ignored her, made my way through the "secondary" room DIRECTLY in front of the sidewalk entrance, turned right, and headed into the main bar.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is one of those ANNOYING 4" high steps (1) between the "secondary" and main bar rooms - just the type to cause you to trip and fall. I didn't, others did; it is DARK at that point.

Made my way to the bar, difficult to get my paid for beer. Miss Stalker right by my side, beginning her spiel. I was polite, first attempting 1 word answers, then ignoring her. She persisted, and had latched on, limpet like. I then switched to a direct "no thank you". Even that failed to totally dislodge her. Thing was, she was taking up my landing slot, and there were other potentials circling, waiting to land.

She even offered to buy me a beer, using her entrance ticket. I declined, knowing full well there is no such thing as a free beer. I did not want to owe her anything. I did not even offer to buy it from her; any savings were not worth the opening that would provide. She finally left... though she did appear an hour later, beer in hand for me. Again, I declined with a polite, but firm "no thank you".

First potential was a Viet in a VERY classy, appealing outfit. Like a lot of Viets there, she had a nice rack. Think someone must be trolling Vietnam, suggesting that the well-endowed take a shot at some real money in foreign lands... But her responses were like mine to Miss Stalker - guess it's true, what goes around, comes around - fine by me, just helped in the cull. She moved off to her own chosen target.

Like I said, the band is decent enough to listen to while shopping. With the crowd, difficult to see all that is available unless you yourself move around. I checked out the veranda, patio, and secondary room. Any number were stopping by for the initial job interview, plenty of choices, but none were "Must Haves". I stopped at the "where you from?", making no inquiries about menu. As stated, the vast majority were Viet's.

Finally saw a striking little spinner with a tremendous rack, well displayed in a black dress. A slight sag evident even with the bra, but for me, that was NO downside - just proof they were real; gravity MUST have an effect on that mass. A VERY welcoming smile, very tempting. She saw my admiration, came over, and made a low key pitch. Not quite a kid in the candy store any more, but it was early, and I did want to "absorb" some more of the visuals available, this my first visit. When I did not jump at her opportunity, she moved back to her original perch, but kept in eye contact. Warm in that businesslike manner...

More attempting to initiate a match, but I had no trouble passing. My eyes kept being drawn back to the mass of Miss Spinner; they were large enough to have their own gravitational effect. She knew it, and always gave me a big smile when my eyes did move up to her face - a very cute one too.

I overcame my reluctance to be seen making the hotel walk of shame with someone 1/3 my age, so gave her a bigger smile, and she came over for the job interview.

My first question of "you suck?" did not get the [yes | no] answer I was expecting. "A girl cannot be expected to f*ck all the time - give HJ and f*ck." Hmmm. Well, that DID answer my question, and a number of others, rather short circuiting the interview.

Let me try a different tack... I provided my specs: LT, 2 shots tonight, a morning wake up. "Oh, that a lot of extras. You have to pay more." Damn, I must have stumbled on a budding airline executive... OK, I asked how much. Legit question, I thought. "800".

Now, if parallel universes exist, in one of them, I accepted her offer. But not in this one. In fact, I had to contain a laugh. I know a "blow off" price when I hear one, as in "if you're crazy enough to accept this, fine, I will go with you."

I'm not crazy... It's business; I made a counter-offer: "400". Now it was HER turn to laugh. In fact, it was so funny, she turned to a couple of her friends to share the joke. They all laughed at my ignorance... She was nice, but not an 800 nice... Given we were so far apart on price, conversation ended. As I no longer had potential, she moved away. Well, maybe she'll write

Continued my tour. As is usual for me, saw several leaving accompanied who I had earlier turned down. They were looking mighty fine, and I was questioning my earlier decisions... BTW, I'm a big Eagles fan, as in "Now it seems to me, some fine things Have been laid upon your table But you only want the ones that you can't get..." Don't worry, I've learned to live with it.

Hour later, I pass Miss 800 again. Couldn't resist; I asked her how that 800 was working out. She didn't get my shadings, giving me an honest answer, "No good customers tonight." Ah, the UNIVERSAL wg lament.

CAREFULLY taking the step down into the main bar, was grabbed by a Philipina. Nice talking to someone who can put an English sentence together. She was tempting, and on another night, would have taken. But given this plethora of LBA's (large breasted Asians), I did want "one of those" (or maybe that's 2 of those) and she didn't qualify. Another older target who looked "experienced" in the good sense was blind TO me, so I moved on, not wanting to waste my time.

One of the frustrating things about the Beach Club is the layout. I had seen a very nicely endowed PRC? with a group of Chinese? guys partying in the main bar; I figured she had a done deal, so moved on. But she had noticed my admiration. Much later in the evening, on the veranda, saw her again (maybe she had a done deal for an hour?), but unfortunately, Miss Stalker had made her last attempt, at the very moment Miss PRC walked past. Our eyes met, but my landing slot was occupied, so she kept going. In the minute it took to extricate myself, Miss PRC had disappeared inside, never to be seen again.

I don't know what time the Beach Club closes - the band was on it's last set. Not that I was panicking or anything, but it was one of those "time to get with the program" moments and make a decision I could accept. A curly haired Viet stopped by for her attempt at a 4th job interview. I knew the rack was via bra engineering, but she did have a cute face. I'm guessing early 20's.

As I was debating whether to start a serious job interview, spied an "older" (read late 20's) girl sitting along the outside patio wall. Better "fit" I thought, plus her rack looked legit. Our eyes would meet, we'd smile, then she'd look away. The "up to you" attitude. Command decision, I cut Miss Curly lose, wishing her good luck. As Miss Coy was not coming over, I moved over to her.

Viet. Rack legit, no bra, just a very sexy bustier that very nicely highlighted her attributes. Cute face; nice package. She was complaining how she hadn't had a customer for a couple of days. Checked the menu, specified LT, no EARLY morning departure. Asked for a price quote. 500. Offered 400, accepted.

Yes, I know, I could have paid less, but that was my target price, and I'm not interested in beating someone down to the last [insert currency here]. Given Bionicman's warnings, I reiterated the spec, especially the "pay in morning". She confirmed every one. She confirmed I did have some condoms - I did - 2nd purchase on arrival.

Off we went to face the onslaught of the taxi drivers. Started at 30 (yea, right, in that parallel universe), quickly found an offer for 10 that I accepted. Given KL's preponderance of 1-way streets, the drive home was not the straight shot it would appear on the map.

She had nicely slipped on a concealing top, so there really was no walk of shame. Plus, at just past midnight, the lobby was deserted of guests, just a few counter staff. I didn't even see any security guards, but there must have been at least 1 around. But no problems in getting to the room.

In the room, nice bit of chat. She said she'd been there for the proverbial 3 weeks, but somehow I believed her. She slipped into the bathroom, reappearing in a towel. Soon after a bit of DFK, she suggested I hit the showers, I did. After I came out, she went back and grabbed her own - I do like that. She did receive 1 phone call - short, the "are you OK" check; no problem.

BBBJ, no CIM, but that was NOT a surprise; I had given the 11Bravo oral questionnaire, providing an informed decision. She provided an attempted massage - her heart was there, but the technique a bit lacking. But then again, she was not hired as a masseuse, and it did allow for recovery time. DATY no problem, she did legitimately respond, but there did come a time when she said "enough", which was a bit of a turnoff. I was not particularly happy that she flushed the condom rather than just wrap and throw in trash, but hopefully the hotel has good plumbing.

But all in all, no problems with the service, and it now being close to 3am, after a long travel day, we both slept soundly.

Sometime in the morning, she did receive another phone call. I understand the "you still alive?" call, but this one went on, and on... Don't know what they were discussing, but just as I was getting irked and about ready to roll over and say something, the call ended. Back to sleep.

Sometime later, I woke up, she still sleeping soundly. I let her sleep as I had nowhere to be until another Beach Club visit that night. Sometime later, did notice it was 11am, and woke her up. I actually half-expected some problems, you know, the "it's late, I have to go" bail out. But while it did take her a bit of time to wake up (I take that as a compliment, she being comfortable enough to relax), once she did, the morning wake-up was readily given.

She showered first. While she was there, I laid the 400 next to her purse, along with 20 taxi money. I showered while she got dressed - she did have a very nice thong to go along with the bustier. When I came out of the bathroom, she asked for my permission to go... that always gives me a slight mental cringe - just not into the master thing. Nice kiss goodbye and a thank you.

Now, obviously, she's a businesswoman. But she did have that "amateur" feel, a bit uncertain, you know, the "lack of sex education" effects.

WIR: Depends.

  • For a short visit, no, there are so many others. But she does make a nice safety net.
  • If I was a resident, I'd be tempted to put her in a regular pitching rotation. She doesn't seem to have grown that wg shell yet, and I think with a couple of times together, she would open up, let herself go, and provide you with a GFE. Someone who would be happy to come over and give you a home cooked meal, play an evening's "house", along with the night's entertainment.

IMHO, her lack of customers has nothing to do with looks, attitude, or service (though it could be improved), but more to her "wallflower" marketing attitude.

But certainly an enjoyable evening, the sweet GFE kind.

Like I posted, I was cautioned of getting YOUR hotel room too close, as she might be tempted to turn the LT into ST...

I did enjoy the Beach Club. Nothing wrong with Thailand, but it's nice to see the variety there. Not exactly cheap, but certainly doable. Makes a nice visa run...

Hopefully I'll answer most of your questions in the next 2 days.

Maybe the price raise was due to the F1 coming to town, and the wg's not registering they had left when I was there?

11bravo, excellent, informative and well written FR. This is a benchmark for FR's. I have tendency not to read FR's because they tend to be more like Penthouse sexploit rags. You give the reader good feel for the Kuala Lumpur experience, more of a travel log feeling with sex info. Your FR gives so much information that the first time visitor to Kuala Lumpur can avoid many of the first timer mistakes. Hum-mm...maybe I should pay Kuala Lumpur a short visit next time, always wanted to go.

11bravo, your not even done and I feel your FR is worthy a nomination to FR of the year!

Thanks! for confirming that I'm achieving what I set out to do.

I'm like you - I don't really care for the Penthouse Letters type of FR's. For those who do post those, fine, more power to them. And the PL posts can illuminate if she's an all ports girl, or if she tries to fill the FULL time with fun rather than a pump and dump type. But myself, I do know where to put it.

My style is a "boots on the ground" view, with, hopefully, a bit of lightness thrown in to make the read a bit of fun. After all, if you're not having fun, taking this seriously, you're doing something wrong.

I write for myself, not to see myself in "print" (have been accused of that), but rather to provide the information I'd appreciate if I was going somewhere for the 1st time, or was a newbie, so I wouldn't look like a newbie.

I like KL, I'd recommend it. What I find enjoyable is the mix: Malays, Chinese, Indians, their cultures and food, all in the same place. And the Beach Club, as I was informed by Sporadic (credit where credit is due) is Dubai's Cyclone (RIP), Asian style. The cream of south-east Asia to be sampled, all in one place. I just wish I had had more time.

Thanks again.
