I don't know about going to these places alone, but i would recommend getting to know someone cambodian so at least he can translate for you. I went with my buddy and his entourage which consist of about 2 to 3 guys. One would usually be the 'bodyguard". He would walk with you to the restroom or outside if you had to make a phone call. I thought this was kinda weird in the beginning since I never had anyone followed me to the restroom and watched me take a piss. After awhile, I got used to it. My buddy told me there were cases where while you are taking a piss, someone could come up from behind you and give you a massage and then ask for money. I'm definitely not gonna get no massage from a guy while taking a piss, so they can be very useful at times.
Anyhow, the other guy would be the translator (well..both of them were translators). One would be sitting next to me and my girl and the other one with my buddy. They also have a flashlight handy when the mamasan would bring in the girls. We definitely had to check the girls out in light before we picked them. At first i thought it was kinda degrading but the girls didn't mind. It was quite funny actually. Definitely stuff I would never do back in the states.
These guys can definitely come in handy. One time I told them to call and order a pizza. First of all, what am i thinking ordering a pizza in cambo! But anyhow, i told him i wanted a pepperoni and sausage pizza. Apparently he had no clue what i said because I ended up getting a hawaiian pizza delivered. These guys will always say yes and that they understand clearly, but sometimes it's never the case. I like those guys though. They treated me like i'm a big movie star or something..always catering to my needs and always being helpful. I tipped them well though so they were quite happy. Definitley another thing i miss about being in cambodia.
The fantasy is gone now! ARGHHHH!!

I was very curious about what K11 was all about. My vision of it before i got there was of a smaller version of Soi Cowboy or something like that. Tons of lil bar type places lining up along both sides of the streets. Girls outside calling for you. What I saw was nothing I like i had envisioned.
This must have been the ghettoest place in town. Shacks are lining up on both sides of the road. It was definitely not appealing to me at all. However, I wanted to see it up close for myself.
As we were driving along, our cambodia translator/bodyguard told us about a place where you can get action for 5000 riels which is about $1.25 US dollars. Definitely didn't want to check that out thinking that half the city probably got up on that. Anyhow, I thought that was amazing thinking about that being the cheapest I've ever heard of for any sort of FS action.
Anyhow, we drove a lil bit further...got kinda lost..there were no signs of K11. Our cambodian buddy knew exactly where though. We finally got to the area...it was sort of wet and muddy from the rain yesterday. It was about 2pm in the afternoon. There were lil cafes lined up on the left side of the road and houses on the left side. I saw a few farangs having a few drinks at these outdoor cafes. Anyhow, you kinda have to just pick an ally on the left and drive through. It didn't seem like much of a MP-type places, just normal houses. There would always be a guy sitting outside (like a parking attendant) waiting for you to stop at his location.
My buddy wanted me to have the whole cambodian experience so we stopped at a couple of the hoiuses. He knew a couple of the papasan there. Each house was quite dirty with no AC. Most of the girls are just bumming around the house waiting for customers to come in. None of the girls seem very appealing to me..maybe coz they are not made up. Except for one girl, but she was eating lunch. I was thinking that wasn't a good idea to hook up with her. Oh well, I moved on. Most of them were just wearing normal clothes like normal girls you would see along the road selling bread or street food.
I did not want any action here, but I told my cambodian buddy that I would hook him up if he wanted some action. And of course, he didn't 'mind. He's making about 2 bucks a day so getting laid on my expense made him very happy. They are usually up for anything. Well, he picked a viet girl at the 3rd house we checked out. I have no clue what house number it was. But it was a quick session apparently. He was done and out in about 20 minutes. Total cost was about 8 bucks ($3 for service, $5 bucks tip). I also think there was a 50 cents charge for the condom. I chatted with some of the girls. Tried to ask them to guess what nationality I am. Of course, none of them could. It was quite amusing. I feel lil bit of sorrow for them but they all seem pretty upbeat. That's what I noticed about girls here. Even though they have no money and nothing good going on in their lives, they always seem upbeat and laid back. I wish more ppl in the states acted this way. But anyhow, it was getting stuffy in most of the houses so we decided to leave. I had a dinner date with a girl i had LT the night before. That's pretty much it for my experience at K11. I don't think I'll come back there again. It's definitely not really my scene. Of course I would always want to find sex for cheap, but sacrificing the atmosphere for a few bucks is just not worth it for me. That's just my opinion.

Another Great FR Shawn, I may have to shorten my trip in BKK from one week to 4 days and drop by at PP....  On the second thought, my first time in BKK so I am sure I will be getting lost for the first few days.. ha ha, maybe another trip sometimes ... I enjoy your stright forward, frank, detailed FRs and looking forward to your next FR.

Cambodia and in particular Phnom Penh sound fantastic. Ive just been reading a good forum http://www.km11.com and it sounds like the countries full of p4p. Can anyone advise on the latest (2004) from here in terms of p4p, availability, cheapness, closing times, friendliness etc?
