We are looking for a beergarden/ beer bar around Sukhumvit to just chill, before heading to the obvious venues.
The old Busstop was just great, where the broads didn't bother one too much and it was large enough not to feel claustrophobic. Open air with some greenery would be even better.
Any suggestions appreciated. Girls are fine, so are girlie-drinks, but we're just looking for a place to regenerate between a BBBJ at Lolitas and before heading to NEP.

Bus stop was still there in November just at the rear of the Plot as they rebuild.

There is a beer bar I rather like on Soi 4. Sorry, don't remember the exact name but when walking from Sukhumvit, it is a short distance before the Rajah Hotel on the same side. One pool table, some girls there are good pool players, very laid-back. I have been there a few times for an afternoon, after-work drink

You just reminded me that there are several open air bars in the Rajah carpark area and Hillary just after.
I must be getting ready for my next trip I walk/taxi past them every day I'm there as I hotel on Soi 4

I think you might mean UK Melody bar (or Melody UK bar,  can never remember the order of the words) ?
BTW, the Thai lady who is the owner/bartender is a friend of my TGF, as they come from the same village and know each other fairly well -- damn, another no-fly zone for me, tap-tap-tap on the bamboo telegraph  spells curtains for Balls! That lady is fun to talk with, and has in interesting history of boyfriends, husbands, sponsors, though she's not yet 25, lol! I think my TGF is a little jealous of her apparent success at this, as well as all the gold chains, etc.

There's a quiet-looking open-air beergarden opposite the Manhatten Hotel, Soi 15, haven't tried it myself though...

Thanks folks, appreciate the suggestions.
We are aware that the Busstop is still open, but as per other forum-posts it has moved "backwards". We'll try the others for sure. We just don't want the typical hole-in-the-walls were 2 is a crowd.
