Soi 1 roof top biergarden is a very cool place at late night.
Was there last night until 04.30
Yes, they do open until 05 in the morning. I lot of corruption money is payed to the police.
Many russian girls there but also many nice thai girls.
Nice place for drinking an dancing but the food is not good.
Many nice bars on first floor (most of them have moved from soi 13).

SIN - which will be both a rooftop beer garden and a club with DJ's and stuff, is supposedly opening today.
There are posters advertising the opening night party, free drinks from 9:30 - 11:00 (or was it 8:30 - 10:00?) etc.
But judging by the state the place was in yesterday at 7pm, they are weeks behind schedule in getting the place ready. It's still very much a construction site, especially the indoor bit.
I didn't climb up to the roof to take a look. The manager of Ball In Hand told me it looks even worse, but he must have been exaggerating.
So expect the rooftop to have some sort of opening party tonight, but the 2nd floor room - the club bit with the aquarium above the bar etc - will not be in operation.
I'll probably try to go there to take a peek 10-11'ish, but don't expect much because it'll be a party on top of a construction site, a party in a club that is half-finished... That's not the way to do things, IMHO.

Did anybody make it to Sin on Friday?
I didn't. Judging from Stickman's column from yesterday, I was right about the construction being far from finished. Interestingly he says "a power cut meant that things weren't quite ready on time"... I mean fer chrissakes, how long was the power cut? three weeks???
