Not really 'honest' stories but I've had two experiences which made me really appreciate the kindness of the girls I was with.
A few years ago I was with a girl in Pattaya when I was taken violently ill with food poisoning the night before I was due to fly home: a dodgy cheese salad. It was pouring out at both ends and in the morning I was very dehydrated and feeking very poorly. N got me some medicine and basically stayed with me until the evening time, sorted out a taxi for me and accompanied me to the airport where I managed to stagger into the departure terminal... I tipped her handsomely in apprecition but she was genuinely concerned and phoned me later to see if I got home later.
Last year I was pickpocketed also in Pattaya (the old baby in arms 'distraction' tactic on the baht bus). My wallet was gone but my girl at the time, G, took me to the police station and waited with me while I filed my report. She also gave 500 baht to tide me over until I was able to get to my hotel safety deposit box the next morning. I was pretty pissed off at the time but as she said 'nobody hurt'. Oddly enough my wallet (minus the dosh) was returned by a post man to my hotel the next day after it was tossed in a post box (a hotel card was i/s)..I'm not Buddhist but I carry a picture of Buddha given to me by a monk in HK in my wallet for luck...did this influence the thieves...I don't know...strange but true.

1500 baht barfine. You and the girl should agree before you pay the barfine on the duration and scope of your activities  and the monetary compensation. As in most places on Soi 33, not all of the girls have the same view on the above.

Soi 33 are not gogo bars, they are (more or less) upscale hostess bars. The regular barfine for gogo bars is 500 (Soi Cowboy/Patpong) and 600 (Nana).

Yes that is the normal range. Some higher some lower depending on place and time.
However it is possible to avoid the BF, all depends how you get along with the girl and if she is up to it or not.
