totally agree with you cj. especially the non-aesthetic shows turn me really off. so in many places as soon as they announce shows i either settle my bill or at least leave the premise for a couple of minutes to return later as soon as the shows are finished. funny enough this is the attitude of a lot of expats going to these places. non of them i know really likes these shows. i continue to stress these facts to the various owners of these palces but they still feel that their customers want to see those shows. must be something thai like, if everybody does it (shows), so i am with the consensus and it must be good!

Also it's an artificial tip-asking opportunity for the show girls.
I used to chat up the snake-f_cking girl at Lipstick (Patpong)...actually the show girls make the rounds of all the places are are not attached to the soil like russian serfs under the czars...I liked her, she was over the hill but a survivor. When asked, she told us she didn't really like the snake up her c***, too cold, and she didn't think the snake was really too keen on the exercise either. It was a python or constrictor of some sort as far as I could tell, I'm not a herpatologist type, but it was of hefty diameter and she took it first from the tail and then, head first and a solid insertion, too.
I never got into a conversation with any of the frog f_cking girls, I just hope no one slips them one of the toxic Brazilian tree-living kind. Ouch, Batwoman!

Not really into these shows as well. Often the girls stand there with a face like: did I forget to unplug the rice cooker or did I not. No I dont think they enjoy it apart from the tips of course. I guess it is a curiosity thing, tourists like it, patong is thriving on it. Expats I think no, seen one, seen them all. When I have visitors who ask me the question: How about thai night life and what about these shows I always ask them: How do you want to have it, served on a plate or straight in the face. Obviously most will ask for the straight in the face one. Take them to the snake show, looking at their reaction, whilst sipping your beer is much more fun then looking the show itself. Where is the best show, keep us up to date!!!!!

Good points to be sure. I always have to get 3-5 of the girls to come set with me to keep me company during that part of my visit to show bars. Sort of make up my own show on occasion. That gets peoples minds off the same old show when they have a nack for having fun.

Great posts from CJ, Griffin & Byron; as another old expat I didn't want ot be conspicuous in my absence and thought I should add my voice;
I have so little interest in shows I didn't even look at this thread til today. I've only seen acouple that were mildly interesting, due only to the "set". In Lipstick (I think) they used to have a giant champagne glass for two girls to do their bathing in; a chopper lowered from the ceiling with a couple (lifelessly) f_cking on it, and a phone booth (I can't even remember what they used it for.)
I've truly never understood the attraction after the mandatory "See it once" visit. I don't even like the totlally naked dancers. I'm strictly a "tiny strips of cloth" man- that is to say almost naked is better than completely. It's my fetish...whoopps I mean it's something extra (an object or practice) that turns me on!

mr. joe you are right. i also prefer mildly dressed as it is not so embarrassing for both parts, the girls and the punters.
there comes this psycho test to my mind where guys were presented with naked girls and some girls wearing a plaster on some body parts. guess where most guess wheree staring at. not at the exposed body parts but at the plasters as everybody was guessing what ws hiding behind it.
i guess it is just like birthday or christmas presents as a small boy. it was always more interesting unwrapping something and the excitement what might me hidden in it! Still works for me with the girls!

You make a point that I didn't bring up because I thought it wouldn't be understood;
I was talking about the fact I like bikini's etc but another reason I don't want the girls naked; It creates an atmosphere that I don't like and I can't keep from feeling like a dirty old man (even when I was young).
Then again I'm such a "sensitive" pervert that in a Go-Go, once I know a girl I like is aware of me I'll make a point not to stare at her body when she's dancing (But I let myself "get caught" appreciating her beauty once or twice - you know you've got them when they spy on you in the mirror to see if your looking); by the time she comes to sit down there's often already a bit of a spark.
Oh, the lengths I'll go to try to achieve that spark and avoid the dreaded starfish. I used to have a whole evening long routine. I almost always used to succeed, but it wasn't easy to get there.

oh, i understand too well! same with me, when i really fancy a girl i really try to avoid at looking at her parts bluntly. most of the time i really have to force myself to look her straight into the eyes and not somewhere alese. just like you i just feel like an old grumpy pervert just looking at her most sensible parts so having these parts covered not only brings the joy to unwrap her later but also not be labelled as a perverted sex monster!
