 I agree, of course there are many places where girls are cheaper in relativity to the economy. Depends on your taste in girls, different variety in girls, different variety in things to do.
I also agree that yes the p4p is beginning to get quite expensive in LOS, same with the hotels though. From the way I look at it I am not a millionare yet it still costs approximately $160 to p4p in Hawaii and better yet in some places in Nevada $500 and their economy is cheap.
So as they say in Thailand up to you.

Good point Mel. I agree that the Thai P4P is getting extremely overpriced compared to the local economy. If I was (am not though) playing the P4P game, I wouldn't do it in Bangkok for sure. I would do Pattaya, or better yet, as you say, in Cambodia, Vietnam, or Angeles City in the PI.
P4P is still for next to nothing in Bangkok when you are used to paying UK prices. An overnighter in London would set you back £700 which is twenty times more than a Rainbow 4 girl would want. Regarding Pattaya, yes it is cheaper for sure but the quality of the girls is questionable to say the least.
Good point on the tourist thing. Of course, it's still a great deal (though this is decreasing in money/attitudes from my observations of friends experiences) if you live overseas and fly in here to mess around. As I'm not playing the P4P myself (well, not doing it 99% of the time), it just is disappointing to see the inflation of prices and decrease in quality/attitudes of girls as I'm constantly entertaining those who are doing the P4P. Matter of fact, I'm thinking that the better experiences (though riskier) would be in the freelancer market.
As for Pattaya Jimmy, what is your comparison to? If you compare the RB girls to the to Pattaya Gogo Girls, I would strongly disagree (of course it's not really "apples to apples" comparison, is it? We'd have to name specific Gogo Bars in Pattaya). IMO, I think the ROI is still higher in Pattaya than Bangkok if you're comparing the RB Bars to a "Coyotes" or a "Heaven's Above" experience. Of course it varies so much from bar to bar. Just my opinion from my constant observations in both markets as I seem to be doing both venues almost every week.

I am talking about Pattaya in general, not really an expert on the Go-Go scene. On my last visit I took a slow walk down Soi 6, Soi 7 and then the full length of Walking Street and failed to spot anything above a 6 but then again you can't expect girls who charge 500 baht to be stunners.

I've seen a girl called Mam from Rainbow 2 a few times over 12 months, and just last week, no.62 I think. Beautiful but corrupted by money from Farangs; she left her stuff in my room but I took it to her at the bar the other night to say no more: I'd offered her an all-expenses paid few days in Pattaya, plus B6000 for her- and all she wants to do instead is short time at R2. Just nuts.

Sean, maybe she does not really fancy you, three days is a long time to be with someone if you don't really like them. Some girls would jump at the chance of a few days in Pattaya all expenses paid but most of these Rainbow girls have been spoilt.

shes not nuts. if you knew how hot chicks in rainbows can make money doing short time why on gods earth would she want to go long time wit you, you probably try to get a good rate, they just not interested.
generally speaking girls who do long time at bargain rates have no choice. they either take the money or starve.
hot chicks got a lot of choices in who they spread their leggs for...lol.

Everyone (well a large number of people) complains about RB1-4 because of the high prices, sometimes lack of quality, lack of LT, etc etc etc. This thread is full of various complaints.
Me personally I love the places. When I go there I know what to expect. I know I may pay more in them bars that in others in NEP. I know the quality of the girls. But even with all this knowledge that everone who reads this site has you all still continue to go there. Why?
Instead of giving yourself an excuse to be upset and not happy with whatever service you get/got then why not just go somewhere else?
I know what draws me to them bars but I am curious to know what attracts the people who complain about them all the time.
