And if you knew anything about the manager/owner of Tina bar and his equally good nature, you'd keep your mouth shut and you'd give up trying to write 'intelligently clever' or ludicous posts.

Talk about an OVER reaction,, relax or take a Valium MATE!!!!!!
As STATED,, "Actually I spent quite a few hours in this bar on the last day of my previous trip".
I had a nice time and the WONDERFUL manager bought me two beers,, I spend a VERY relaxing time chatting with a very nice lady ( looks 6, personality 9+).
Time to grow up my friend.

I'm glad that you've come clean over the manager guy at Tina's.
By your own admission you know at least something of this bar and you've met the guy and got a great impression of him.
All the more reason for you to admit that you were not just out of line with your snide remark, but way out of line.
Yes, the usual reaction of an immature person who has been slapped down for being out of order is to say that everyone else, or at least someone other than himself, should grow up. It prevents them from actually thinking to any depth about what they have done or said.
It's called irresponsibility, mate.

Trying to be fair here. Yes, in this case the owner/manager was stand up with me. Offered to cover any loss by theft and fired the girl who tried to rob me. However, I have been going to this bar for years and the other side is that apparently, from the comment of the girls, he is not beyond expecting special favors from the girls without remuneration. I don't think he is a saint, I think he is a businessman. I am a regular and very good customer. I think my track record is what made him pay attention. I only wrote this report to warn about the girl who has now moved on to who knows where. The rest is just the normal stuff.

I too have been to Tina's many times over the years.
I don't think anyone was making him out to be a saint. And I should think any member here who would venture into the bar business would be tempted to get the occasional freebee per week, not that that is right at all.
This guy has been in the business a long time,maybe before the majority of the members here were in nappies.
He's always struck me as being a fair guy, who ensures that his customer are contented.
If he takes advantage of his employees, then that's his affair but if he does, then I am persuaded not to go there again.
What I objected to, was the suggestion that he was a thief, especially since you had assured us that he had handled the situation well and had had no part in it.

Maybe it's best to talk to the bar owners of the forum for their ideas on that topic. Mostly I've heard that it's available (as in about any employee employer relates in BKK) but would be destructive... Playing favorites and all that jive... The corruption of respectful distance... etc.
However, we don't know the girls' job description upon hire at Tina's, only what they tell us. I suppose one could look at it as a perk of owning such a venue, if explained beforehand. Though I believe I would be more likely to see it as a form of "overtime" and compensate accordingly.

I was in there over Sunday night, the quality of women pretty much sucked
the one I did like wouldn't do ANYthing in the bar
said it was 500 barfine and 500 for the room, since they use rooms nearby, not in house
I was LOL as I left soon after that

on a more serious note: most bar managers/owners are unaware of scams (at least for a while) if nobody points them out.
so the owner of tina reacted just the right way. must be a reason why he is in biz that long.
