this what I no understand about some guys. bars in patpong cater to tourists, tourist cum and go. chances r when tourist leave he will never be seen again. why waste time trying to build for future when in bar business future is right at the moment.
same with sex with girl. chances r it is one shot and the guy will never be seen again. y she gonna put effort in hoping guy will cum back.
once the guy does cum back then girl should give extra.
planning for future is all well and good but not if you poor.

I was walking thru patpong a couple weeks ago and went into kings corner (half/half bar to me and my mates) and the mamsan remembered me from 2 years ago...had a couple drinks then tried to find an old GIK (that wore boots) that the mamasan told me had moved to one of the other kings bars in PP Soi 1...
went up to enter the first kings bar and the mamasan asked for 200 baht entry...I chuckled and said "pood lin mai?"
her responce "ohhh...pood thai"
me "mai kang...hasip hasip" (its really about 10%)
mamasan "OK for you 100 baht"
I just shook my head and thought to myself "what the hell has my old stomping ground turned into?"
not just the kings bars but patpong as a whole seemed expenintially (sp?) more ruthless and harsh in just the past 2 years.........
it was major disappointment!

Popped into Kings Corner. All girls were wearing heels - both girls AND ladyboys. No boots to be seen anywhere. Questioned the young sweetie at my table about this. She said they had been doing this for a while
Saw a rather large chap barfine a LB. I wonder if he knew? Beware newbies & limit your alcohol intake before coming here to keep your wits about you.

I visited Patpong 1st time in 1993 - I knew this was my thing the moment I entered Kings Castle 1. I did not understand I thing of the system, I girl got me barfining her within 5minutes and I know I was swollowed by LOS forewer. Never regretted. LEss push and less LB's in those days.

One of the first bars I went to in Thailand back in 1987 was the original King's Castle (there was only one then). I was absolutely amazed - I had found the closest thing to heaven on earth. Truly one of the world's best bars back then. In the 22 years since, starting with the night market in 1988, it has declined every single year. Very sad indeed. The first thing they need to do in the Kings Bars is start playing some decent music, then get rid of the ladyboys, then get rid of that goddam night market outside.
In the early 1990s when I lived in Thailand the Patpong bars were full of expats and the scene was really friendly and good. Now, just tourists and it is kind of crap.
I wish I had a time machine....
