@madfrog: I never said I paid 3k for st. don't recall exactly how much, but it was her asking price the first time so prob around 2k or less. and u missed the point about bar fining her again... the second time was different and I enjoyed it more both physically and intellectually. the point I was trying to make was that sometimes it's also interesting to take a step back from just pure physical indulgence and try to connect with a reluctant goddess and tame her enough to get her to do things your way. I certainly relish my game playing with her (as well as her physical beauty) more than some of the other more fun but otherwise run-of-the-mill sex experiences i've had in los.
@quim: agree with you 100%! i'll seek her out again this time, but if she's not moved a step beyond where I last left her in terms of her attitude, will not bother. however, if some sparks do fly, wouldn't mind another night with her just to see how it turns out. sometimes its more fun to be guessing which way a stunner with turn out than to take home a less sexy sure thing. you can always go back for another one the next day. that's the whole point of bkk... the possibilities are unending!
@caleden: as I said, I didn't really overspend, but just felt cheated a bit by her persistent semi-coldness the first time around. however, she had the goods on her, and that's why I chanced a second round, but only after she warmed up a bit to me. like madfrog, I wouldn't overspend for a lame session no matter how good looking the girl was, but sometimes the only way you find out is if you try her out short time. expect a report if I do find her again!

When you said you paid her 2k for ST, if you add the barfine (600 baht right?) and a couple of drinks + maybe 100 baht for taxi back home, here are the 3K total for ST I was on about.
Sorry to say that 3K for a short CBJ (even by a living godess) sound like a very bad deal by thai standards.

i totally get where you're coming from, madfrog. but we've all had more than a a few bad experiences in our wanderings: starfish, money-first bitches, unskilled labor, clingers and whiners, etc., where the entire evening's expenditure has seemed to go down the drain.
all i'm saying is that sometimes there can be more to a bar girl than instant gratification... some can stand out because of their looks and intelligence, despite their initial coldness. you can either not bother with them (99% of the time I don't either) or occasionally take a chance if the girl otherwise seems perfect. I did, and though I wasn't fully satisfied the first time around (her bj skills were outstanding, btw), I enjoyed the second round much more, which gives me some hope for a possible round 3. but i'm certainly not obsessing about her, just sharing an interesting experience that otherwise could easily have turned into a complete writeoff.
we all get our kicks different ways. but imho, if all you're about is looking for mindblowing sex for the least amount of money, I guess you're being just as cold and rigid about it as some of these girls. sometimes it's good to take a worthwhile risk and savor a slightly different experience, or enjoy the chase regardless of the outcome. however, you may not agree or ymmv!

I have to agree. CBJs are the work of the devil. And generally I don't like guys accepting these as the more that do make the girl tend to think it's normal, just like not taking off her bikini top in the bar...
Anyone know about the supposed 1000B barfine for waitresses? It sounds very strange, to have a barfine higher for waitresses than dancers. Mind you, lots of Japanese guys seem to prefer the waitresses because they can sometimes speak better Japanese than the dancers so it could be true...

I believe that the rationale for a higher barfine for waitresses, bartenders, mamasans, etc., is because they are arguably more essential to the practical running of the bar than the dancers...at least that's what I've always assumed.
