Well, little by little those bars a girls are pricing themselves out of the market, a good example of vicious circle : bar & baht more expensive = less customers/tourists = higher prices to make up for the loss = less customers = higher prices...until NO customers and all bar closed...then what happen can be no more affordable P4P in Thailand (only overpriced escorts with bitchy attitude...) or more and more desperate freelancers everywhere, trying hard to get customers and stealing/scamming more and more out of dispair...
Anyway not a nice prospect...

last night-saturday.
all rainbows were closed but everything else open-what gives. they lost a whole nights income while others chose not to?
it gave me oppurtunity to try others.

the one across rainbow 1 was surprisingly good, 95 baht sodas and not all ugly girls. attractive girls gets cusomers.
guess what kind of girls ps and hollywood had...........lol.

Stopped in #4 tonight (Saturday) at about 10. Pretty crowded. Found a barstool up against the DJ booth. Nothing really spectacular to look at, so I ended up surveying the clientele’s ethnicity. Rather than gazing around the room I just counted those who squeezed between me and the corner of the stage. Not the most scientific method, but less awkward than staring all over the place, notepad in hand, making a tally. It came out to 70% Asian, 30% Western (35 vs. 15). Glancing around that looked pretty sound, though maybe slightly exaggerating the Asian count.
Other observations:
Some of the Asians are pretty funny looking. Some of the westerners are pretty disgusting looking.
North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il was there. I base this on the assumption that no one else would have that f*cking bad taste in eyewear.
If you lean back against the DJ booth, the sound system gives a good massage.
If you lean the back of your head against the DJ booth, the sound system gives you a headache.
Based on that previous experimentation I posit that sticking your groin against the DJ booth will give you an erection, but I was too busy counting to test this.

Don't know if this was posted elsewhere but Rainbow 1 and 3 are changing places next week. Asked a mamason I know at R3, who was also at a couple of other bars what the construction at R3 was. They are expanding the R3 site into the neighbor then they are going to change places. Not sure why I think R1 is a better location? She just said next week no certain day.

The way I understood it was that while Rainbow 3 was being remodeled, the girls from 3 went to 2 and 2 to 3.
Then when 3 was completed, Rainbow 1 was to be remodeled and the girls from Rainbow 1 would move to 3.
So does that leave the original girls from 3 at 2, the girls from 2 who went to 3 now go to 1, and the girls from 1 will be at 3?

It means that you will have to go to each one for a drink and sort out the ladies for yourself.
I think it would be inadvisable business-wise to leave ladies in the wrong bars after the work had been done. Ladies have regulars, as you well know, and if the ladies aren't found at the known venues, some guys might just go elsewhere instead of bothering to hunt the rainbows for them.

R1 have now moved all the girls & staff upstairs to the expanded & remodelled R3. All R3 girls and staff have been moved downstairs to where R1 was located.
It seems that they will not swap the names thought as the old R1 crew refer to their new abode as R3.
There has been no remodelling done to the old R1, nor will there be it seems. R2 & R4 remain unchanged.

Sadly, I have left the LOS and am now knee deep in snow, versus knee deep in BG's. It is such a let-down that I found myself pondering bar fining the waitress at a local Thai restaurant. I thought better of it because (a) she was ugly as hell, and (b) I might not be out of jail in time for my next visit, and when I get blown it's a real downer to feel chin stubble on my scrotum.
So probably no more posts for a while, but I'm with you guys in spirit, especially if Spirit is reasonably hot.

I was in Hong Kong 2 weeks ago having a drink in a bar with an old regular R4 friend of mine and in walked four of her friends from R4 who were plying their trade.
And these girls were the top lookers...not sure how much they were charging but obviously a lot more than they get in BKK

Yes, a few of them join the circuit either going from Bangkok to Hong Kong, on to Ho Chi Min, Singapore and back to Thailand or the other way round.
Singapore seems to be the most difficult for them as the police vigilance is quite a bit more than other places.
Competition appears at times to be fierce, especially when there are fewer customers. I've known girls come back earlier than planned, covered in bruises because of some altercation usually with another Thai girl.
It's quite a demanding job having to lick their wounds.
