This story goes to show that not all BG's are bad.
A friend of mine lost his phone last week. He thought that he had lost it in the taxi outside Soi Cowboy and held no hope for its return. This was a $900 phone- high face value for a BG perhaps.
One week later he is in Lookie Lookie bar on Soi 33 when he is approached by a lady asking if he had lost a phone. Turns out that she was the owner of the bar and one of her staff had found it & handed it in. The bar had tried to contact several numbers on the phone but the battery was low& it shut down pretty quickly. They recognized my friend from the photo in the phone. Needless to say he was very relieved.
My friend was pretty impressed with the effort that the staff at Lookie Lookie made & I think they deserve some recognition for their honesty.

Well, I am impressed that your friend got his phone back. I have to give the staff and owner in lookie lookie a lot of credit for their honesty. Nokia 8800 is probably at that price range.

Lookie Lookie and the Office, are probably the most honest bars on Soi 33. Put that down to owners Brad and Bob respectively for instilling that into the girls (or they are out). Also no bill padding, drink pushing, etc. plus reasonable drink prices unlike elsewhere on 33. Both bars are worth patronising for those reasons.

The same mate that lost this phone was with me when I lost mine recently...as was CG and others.
I phoned it, the taxi driver answered, and said "Are you where I dropped you off?"...I said yes...."See you soon"
He returned down soi 33 with his arm waving the phone out of the window and a huge smile.
I gave him 500B and he refused twice, til I told him to give it to his kids.
My phone is old and shite, I can't be bothered with cameras and all that crap, but the SIM card is priceless.
edit:...by the way....for a $900 phone I'm amazed your mate never asked at Lookie Lookie Bar seeing as that was the last place he was at with the phone. and I know cos I was with him, you'd already gone home.....sounds a bit dim to me!!! no wonder they looked at him "Oh...you finally came back!"

If you have seen Yurune's phone you will realize why the taxi driver brought it back..it's the size of a small suitcase. He would have thrown it out the window if it would go through!
BTW, the girl was given a few thousand baht as way of thanks.
