Was talking to a girl last night who was in a bar at 3am....sure she said Soi 3 but due to the noise couldn't hear properly.
Will double check today.

Seems that closing times are being 'stretched' a bit in Bangkok at the moment. Orbit, for instance, which usually closes promptly at 1.00am, stayed open until 1.30am last night.
Meanwhile in Phuket, the MIB have clamped down on closing times since a raid about 3 weeks ago. Most bars shut at 1.00am and the big three - Taipan, Tiger and Bananas - 2.00 am. The last 3 days - with Thaksin in town - everywhere has been shut promptly by 1.00am. Hopefully that will have changed by this weekend.

Best Gentlemens Club experience for 9000 baht (8 dancers for 5 hours drinking). Forte Chiang Mai closes at 5 am and the dancers are all wasted by then. Just like the old days: they're drunk, loving, cute, and loose....
PS It helps if you've been there a few times. They're still alittle shy around farangs they dont know.

Sorry for this question as it is in a thread titled "closing" but what about the Opening part of the equation? Only reference I found said NEP opened at 9pm. Will be in town in early Dec. and am curious.

It varies in NEP but most are open by 8pm, some as early as 7pm. The new girls tend to get in between 7 & 8pm and the "stars" seem to come in after 8pm or in some bars it seems when they like! The Beer Bars at the start of NEP (such as Big Dog's) are open much earlier than this.

In Soi Cowboy many bars 'officially' open at 7 PM (dancing starts). Many are 'open' before that time. A lot of girls always there, also in day time, because they actually live above the bars.
