The thing was that we could not remember anything for hours that night. According to others we spoke (at different occassions) coherent but we were unable to remember that the next day.
Another major bar owner at Sukhumvit kicked out his supplier after finding that fake JWB was delivered. We had a little tasting and the stuff was really disgusting. More like SeangSom...

I was in Suzy Wongs last weekend and it closed at 1am sharp.
What shocked me was when I made my way back to the Majestic Suites about 1:30 my BG said she wanted some wine so we went around the corner to the mini-mart on Soi 4, between Suk & Nana Plaza, and they wouldn't sell me any alchohol. They had a sign on the cooler that said "no beer between 12am & 6 am".
Is this the same all over now? I had to settle for the mini bar in the room.

Easy solution - buy 10 liters of wine - then you are a dealer & no time exclusion. Brought to the members attention by UKShagga.
Edit In: I am sure Triclops would advise going to Foodland & loading a van with beer wine & whiskey. Keep a good supply in your house for a rainy day. Who's buying the beer?

It's no beer between midnight and 11am, and from 2pm to 5pm. Doesn't seem to be enforced in most places though.

Shit ! It was like that in the UK in the early 1980's !
Public Houses (Brits call em pubs) Closed at 2:30pm on Sundays till 7pm I think. Saturdays and weekdays 3pm till 6pm closed then close at 11pm. A laughing stock for the rest of the Continent ! Are you listening Khun Thaksin ? The Brits got absolutely pissed because they had such a short drinking time especially with the 20 mins crap at 11pm. Now back then and still now you don't see a lot of drunks in Europe because they don't wallop it down ASAP ! Take their time, enjoy their drink. Stupid in the UK now stupid in Thailand. The next thing they will import is hypocracy. Can't do that because sex is naughty ! Jeez !

I agree entirely---another one of Thaksin's bright ideas to solve the problems of Thailand, even some restaurants will not serve alcohol between 2pm and 5pm----too silly for words.
