Hi Folks,
Just wanted to know if this hotel is guest friendly or no..? have never stayed there before but company has booked this hotel for me..! kindly advise...!
p.s. I would just be calling the outcall massage girls to the hotel..!

Guys if you want to bring a guest into Sofitel Silom she better check in the same time as you are or you are going to get some serious problems
I stayed there and brought a girl in for some fun. There are 3 security guys in the lobby that just look for this stuff now. They immediately stopped me and told me no guests like these. I told him we were going up to the restaurant and they say o.k.
They evidently tracked me all the way to the restaurant using their "NEW" security camera system. They have cameras in the elevator,on each floor in the hallways and also in lobby, entrance to parking lot and upper cigar lounge.
When I left restaurant to go back to my room. I immediately heard a knock on my door and it was security.
They told me that this is "No longer allowed". He was alot more friendly than the chaps I met in the lobby.
He told me that hotel has new policy on hotel guests and that we are not allowed guests of "this nature". He told me he will let it go this time, but next time definite no,no.
Now when I left my room the next morning. A couple of the guards who had not worked the night before. Knew about what happened with me. They told me all Novitel, Ibis, Sofitel hotels in Bangkok no longer allow 1 night GF. They say that hotel chain is trying to cater only to business guests, tourists that have money and to keep the image of Sofitel, Ibis, and Novitel as family hotel.
Evidently the whole front desk of the hotel knew too.
So if you want to have some one night GF guests. Don't use Sofitel Silom or any Novitel or Ibis hotels. They are very strict about this.
I stayed there right after APEC and that is when they started this policy.

That one as far as I know didn't have cameras installed yet. I am trying to find out with my buddy who is staying there now.
he still hasn't emailed me back yet. Once I find out I will let you guys know.
I will be in BKK in April so I am trying to find a nice, guest friendly hotel.

Guys. My friend at Novotel Lotus called me last night ($%@!!!*^% 2am in the morning). He asked some of the staff at Novotel, bellhop, room service, security. He found out the hotel will not be making those strict security (guest) changes as of yet. They say most Sofitel, Novotel, and Ibis hotels have already done so and there are not many left who have not done so. They say security requirements will be increased with security cameras installed on each floor, lobby, parking lot to track this problem at a later date. Plus the guest will still have to leave behind piece of I.D. with security, but it may changed to include a charge for the 1 night guest. They say 1 night guest charge is in the plan, but hasn't been finalized.
For now, guests are allowed with check in with security.
The manager for security told him. Sofitel Silom will be hardest to bring guest in since it is Head office for all of Thailand. The security there can get fired for not following the rules or taking bribes.
It seems the massage parlor/night life scene in Bangkok is changing. The government wants to elliminate late closing hours for go-go bars, massage parlors, and adult entertainment areas.

Hallo brothers...need some help... I arrive April 3 and 4.
I have booked the Sofitel Silom and haven't followed up this thread recently, I just remembered it was girlfriendly but 
My sister and brother-in-law are travelling with me, so I can't change hotel either.
Has anybody a clue if there is a way to bring a girl in??? Maybe a classy one from Spassos?
