A few months ago, I spent a torrid night at the Bayan Tree with a striking blond US lady. She was rather self conscious though at the Vertigo bar where she claimed staff were looking at us because of the 31 year age gap. I explained that staring was just one of Thailand's national sports... then she felt better.
What I didn't say though was that the staff up there know me quite well... as the cute Issan mia noi who is 43 years my junior. Only in amazing LOS.
By the way, we too have watched chaps bring bar girls home late at night. They seemed to be politely received but they are certainly not allowed to hang around on their own like at the Nana.

If you're the guest of the hotel, you can walk around in shorts and sandals if you'd like. The hotel staff isn't going to hassle you on it.
If you're bringing back a trashy-looking bargirl, the hotel isn't going to be happy and might intercept her.
So how does the hotel staff tell the difference between a guest who dresses like a slob or someone who doesn't belong? They guess.

Very few guests at the Banyan Tree wear shorts and sandals in the lobby. I have stayed there many times and never seen that.
However, as I said in an earlier post, the staff are very discreet. Think 19th century Jeeves butler type. They would never stop a guest with a girl. A girl on her own might be a different matter.
Plus, after midnight there is usually only one girl on reception anyway. Whenever I have walked past her with a friend for the night she has always seemed conveniently busy.

This is not really about Girl Friendly or not, but have anyone stayed at Banyan Tree Hotel and is it worth the price difference to other hotels like Landmark, JW and so on?

The Banyan Tree is a more breath-taking and romantic hotel if you're together with regular GF, especially a non-P4P. If you compare apples with apples (suite at the Landmark vs suite at Banyan), you get more for money at the Banyan.
However, if you're thinking P4P, Landmark wins hands down. If you're paying yourself, no need to fork out the extra bucks for a Landmark suite (doesn't matter than much to P4P girls). Location is better and girls love the Filippino band in Huntsman Pub on the lower level.

It is not a P4P, since she never allow me too give her money or buy her anything, because as she says: "I cannot take money from you, I am a Thai lady, and if I take money from you, you think I not love you". She never lets my stay at expensive hotels or anything so, I have a cunning plan too give her some special nights in bkk before travel a bit with her. and show her a few things, tought maybe going too Taiwan, Australia, Vietnam and more but need to check how much hazzle that is since I am a bit lazy.
So it is much more for a chance too have a real nice time at a nice hotel. I been eating at Vertigo, but never stayed at the Hotel.
If anyone have any ideas on taking her inside/outside Thailand I will certainly be grateful for.
