yeah you could stay on soi 11 and never leave the soi your whole trip.

seems a bit overbuilt now especially with economic slowdown in place... wonder how many of the smaller places will change hands over the next few years.

Too bad the govt. can't seperate out tourist arrivals based on 1) family with money 2) family with no money (asian visitors on a tour) 3) mongers.

The only way to track monger volume is by the scuttlebut form the bar owners about how bad business is. But it always seems bar owners are bitching about how slow things are.

By the way, anyone seen Lofty? He is in town but lost track of him last week.

I tried the one in soi 16 a couple of nights. In my room the air con didn't blow into the bed, but blew from above the bedīs head (kind of away from the bed).

One silly thing about Citadines is that they charge you THB 100 extra per day (optional) for making your bed and cleaning the room (once a week is free of charge).

Of course, if you stay only for one night they do not charge you anything. Thus I asked what would happen if I checked out and checked in every day; lady said "vely clevel, then no pay extra". Of course, it would be a hassle doing it.... but....

Soi 11 started taking guests from today. Will stay there over the next few days. I like the location.

this nice looking restaurant "Chilli Culture" at the end of Soi 11, right next to the Ritz is a good choice for reasonable priced yummy Thai food...
I agree. Chili Culture is my fav restaurant in BKK.

Checked in. Things looking good so far. I like the location. Will comment in greater detail later.

P.S. Air/con does blow into the bed.

put A/C in swing mode... might help you swingin too...

and you can off that swingin when it's horizontal (the blow, I mean the fan...) to finish that blow (the fan... the fan... I told you...)

Citadine A/C even has a "Full Power" button... maybe that's helpfull too

At Citadine Soi 8 I really liked the spacious shower and especially the wall mounted seating in it brings you on eye level with the knockers... ye know... love it...

I believe they asked me for 150 THB at Soi 11 per day for cleaning and was in total shock. I'd rather stay around the corner at Citi Chic any day for all in all together. At least they have a free tuk tuk to Sukhumvit. I just asked for new towels and the dorks asked for 40 THB per towel. Their breakfast they were charging like 380 THB just for normal food. After once and seeing those prices never returned and will never stay at this hotel again unless they do some major changing. My AC did blow on my bed, you can put it on swing but it just blows around the bed still. The LCD was nice and it is on a trac so you can push it back and forth with the cables in a 'cable trough' so they don't get tangled. The have a little partition separating the rooms but silly it closes only till the short dresser thing and then that's about half a meter from the wall.

They market as an apartment-hotel designed for long-stay... Hence the once-a-week cleaning policy with additional charge for daily service... at least with the introductory rate of 1885,- at Soi 11.

Benefiting from that rate I can live with these 100 extra... I still like the architectural concept of the studios... And at least I managed to control the AC... (put it on swing and stop the swing when its horizontal... worked for me) The partitioner is really stupid though...

Citichic is very nice (same hight-tec chique) but more expensive and often fully booked...

the maps are deceptive, but how many metres from Suk would Cit 8 be.
Thanks BB

The hotel website indicates that they have self-service laundry facilities.

Has anyone used the launderette at the 11 or 23 locations; or know how much they charge?

I have used the in-room washers at Sofitel Asoke and Fraser Suites frequently in the past, but neither place is price competitive any longer.
