I peaked Superior rooms with windows today. They are bigger, away from elevator, and have huge windows wall.

Not sure how windowless and window rooms can be the same class with such huge difference.

I'm going to try this hotel again with a window room.

Completed a 3-night stay at S Sukhumvit Suites last month. Hotel is new, clean and conveniently located next to BTS and MRT stations. SC only about a 1.5 minute walk around the block. Staff is friendly and helpful. Free WiFi in rooms, front desk provides an access code at check-in. Breakfast costs THB200, guests receive THB100 coupons which can be applied towards breakfast or lunch at the S Cafe. Believe I also received a free drink coupon for the S Bar. My rate through Orbitz was ~USD38/night based on the Stay 2 Nights - 3rd Night Free special the hotel was offering, combined with a 10% off 3-Night Stays discount from Orbitz. Late check-out until 18:00 is charged at 50% of the rack rate of the guests room class. Check-out after 18:00 is charged a full 1-night stay.

My room was one in the group nearest the elevator and staircase. The lack of windows and occassional noise near the elevator did not bother me. I don't recall hearing any elevator 'dings', they may have silenced those. There is no miles/points program, but frequent guests receive a 10% discount starting with their 4th stay (ask for a VIP Card during 3rd stay).

Only frustration experienced was actually getting to the hotel from the airport. The taxi driver had never heard of the S Suk Suites, which I expected. In an attempt to simplify the commute, I asked the cabbie to just drop me off at SC. Well, Murphy's Law kicked in and after the cabbie's 3rd pass through the Suk/Asoke intersection, I (literally) jumped out of the taxi near the Sheraton Grande and walked. Outside of that, my stay at S Sukhumvit Suites was very good. Recommended!

Taxi tip.

Just ask taxi driver to go to Sukhumvit Asoke intersection without using highway. Or use Asoke road to get to the intersection if taxi driver insists to use highway once. As you approach the intersection from Asoke road, ask Taxi drive to turn left. You will see the hotel as soon Taxi turns left at the intersection.

It has costed me about 190-220 baht excluding 50baht surcharge. There is some traffic in Asoke road during the day time but never took more than 30min to get to the intersection from the airport.

This hotel seems OK but given that it is on the corner of Sukhumvit and Asoke, what is the sound proofing in the bedrooms like?
Those Tuk Tuks can be very noisy.

TIA

I notice this hotel while walking to soi cowboy. Went in have a look. It was a very nice hotel. The manager confirm with me they don't charge extra for bringing guest. (I told them I am looking for regular place to stay for my frequent busines trip to Bkk, hehehehe....) But then found it to be out of my budget. So have since given it a miss unless one day I can afford it.
