Screw Agoda ! did they actually debit your CC yet ?
or call them and rebook another location ! Ambassador Hotel in BKK is like the old Holiday Inns round cylinder shaped with pie wedge shaped rooms. Its Hell of an old dump, the room ammenities are nill ! the Chinese tour junkets use it I would consider it 2 stars mediocre !
Although they have a large banquet and convention center facilities and many parties are held there downstairs !
they also have a serviced apartment called Ambassador Royal Suites next door, if they havent knocked it down yet... at the hotel desk ask for them ! say Agoda messed up internet transmission ! bad bad customer service etc
there are many new apt and hotels within walking distance around that area Soi 11/13 just cancel it your BKK nights will suck in those rooms ! the Go Go girls will refuse to go with you ! unless you pay em 6000 baht ST to romp in there !

Wouldn't say it is as bad as all that, but it has run down over the last few years. Pool area is ok but hotel itself is a bit shabby nowadays. As Stray Gypsy says the hotel is used mainly by chinese and Indian Tourists.
But really as long as the rooms are clean 1600 a night including breakfast is not too bad and its not as if you will be spending much time in the room looking at the decor!!
It's location is pretty good, you can easily walk to both Cowboy and Nana and you've got Climax late night freelancer bar right there on the premises!! and I seriously doubt any girl would turn her nose up or ask for extra for going there.

Unfortunately cc is already credited and no option to cancel the booking without full charge atm..But anyway, I can book a better hotel in Samui to balance this 3 days bad room.. My main concern was the girl friendliness and to be near everywhere etc. Furthermore having indian and chinese tourist around is not a bad idea, as I think indian girls are very sexy!!
According the comment for the 6k ST, I was lucky to send an email and some pics to an advertised independent escort, and succeed instead of the beggining price of 8k baht for the night (are they serious with the prices in web sites?) to arrange a full night for 2k baht and a dinner in a nice restaurtant  Hope she will not change the price when I tell her where I stay :P
Hope the bad decor of the room would not be enough to ruin my 3 days in Bangkok - would love to had the opportunity now to book a much nicer hotel, but this is the case now...
And wtf in tripadvisor all reveiws are good for this hotel, only here I found the real interesting details!

It is a dump deluxe but I thought I read somewhere on BTF that it was being completely refitted. Has that happened yet? I really would not want to stat there. Used the health club a couple of times, that's all.

Ambassador's rooms are dated ! its convention facilities are used by many groups/ parties ! its cheaper than Queens park facilities !
its spa area is so so ! 3 stars its food 3 stars mediocre
the Suk area soi11/13/15 has many upgraded new hotels/ serviced apts to stay in now ! the Ambassador hasn't kept up since the fire !
and Girls will ask you where you stay at ? they like good places to relax as well !
while in Thai best bet is to book a room 1 day then look for another place thats usually better
Samui is a great place to swim / dive and have fun at ! many beach parties at night and beer bars.. just rent a scooter from the hotel or shop to get around
any rate past 4000 baht for a romp is too high dont be a sucker ! many Stunners out there that will set you up for a StarFish experience ! find ones that are happy to be around and happier to be with you ! its hit or miss keep movin on if a girl doesnt want you !

4.000?? The maxpayment in my mind is 2.000 for all night for the stunners...1.000 for normal ones!
Anything more then this seems too high for my thai expectations..

No, that's completely wrong. 1,000 as a standard LT price?! Yeah, back in 2004, 2005. It's 2,000 now, no two ways about it. Of course, I assume (by the topic being a BKK hotel) that we're talking BKK prices here, not, say, Pattaya....

I hope your stay works out well. I would be less concerned about the joiner fee and more concerned about the condition of the rooms. I used to use this as my regular place maybe 12 years ago but it became a complete shit hole and the only rooms even tolerable were Tower rooms for more money and those were only ok. I haven't been recently so things maybe just perfect now but for a few more baht you can find better accomodations without joiner fees.

Ambassador hotel - I have stayed 3 different occasions. And probably I will not stay there any more time,UNLESS I am forced to. Because of its great location, I stayed there 1st time, and had invited some business people to meet me there in the coffee shop. It is always full of Indians, Sri lankans, Bangladeshis,Arabs every one. Rather feast for Indian tourist. Though I am Indian, but I don't like to burg into another native fellow when I am in a different mission altogether. And too noisy and crowded due to this plus group tourists heaven.
