Thank you again, thank you. So I guess i am going to Novotel Lotus Bangkok. Anybody here going to Bangkok on December 19 - January 4? It will be great to meet people there, since i am a newbie.
my schedule...i am thinking...not decided yet but...
December 20 - December 25 - Bangkok, Thailand
December 26 - December 29 - Phnom Penh, Cambodia
December 30 - January 03 - Bangkok, Thailand
anyone going to Cambodia that time?
I am also planning to take my Cambodia GF to Thailand...is that a good idea? Do Cambodians need VISA to Thailand?

Defenitely book a double as was recommened by another. I didn't when I stayed there about a year ago and they charged me a 600Baht joiner fee.

Try the manhattan hotel on soi 13. Its between nana and soi cowboy so you can walk either way without sweating too much  novatel lotus is up soi 33. Lots of action on soi 33 and I believe girls are better looking there.

There are tons and tons of options around. Is there a reason why you picked this particular hotel? Are you looking for action in the Nana or Soi Cowboy areas?
You can stay in some very nice places for about 1/2 of what you're spending. (At least I think so. I'm not sure if they surcharge a lot during Dec).

Upon my monthly visits to Poi Pet I see Thais and Cambodians crossing the border on border passes ..... so I wonder if they need a visa .... Perhaps if they land by air ..... don't think so by land ....
Thailand (especially Bangkok) faces a problem of Cambodian beggars .... I don't suppose they applied for a visa.
BTW This post has little or no value as he doesn't take his CGF with him ...
