BTW: We were in front of Toxic/Town Lodge yesterday, have never been there so deep down in Soi 18. It was too early for a beer, but we will come back to check the place out.
Are there Jacuzzi rooms in Town Lodge? Can we get discount ? The place could then become a target for some "adventures"...

At this stage I will try and be polite. So your saying that Jack from England goes to your bar and meets lovely Jill in your bar and he leaves around 10pm to have a drink at Toxic.
Around 2am Jack from England is walking up Sukhumvit and spot's lovely Jill eating roadside food. They engage in trivial conversation regarding the star's and they both soon realise they are amatuer astrologer's. Jack says to Jill, "Come back to my apartment. I have a large telescope that you can play with". Jill agrees and off they go.
So is Jack from England up for a barfine for Jill the amatuer astrologer. I eagerly await your reply.

This "policy" of barfine due after the closing of the bar is not unusual. Go to most any bar and ask the mamasan if you can meet one of the girls after hours to avoid a barfine and you will be told no, that the barfine will be collected from the girl. Now what happens in reality is quite different. 
500 baht reduction in the barfine after 11:00pm brings the price down to 400 above many gogos. And the total cost of the girl is the barfine and her fee together. Perhaps the girl will work with the customer to make a deal that both will be happy with.  After all, the girl gets a cut of the barfine too (if it is like other Soi 33 bars).

That's correct, too. But the problem is a different one.
Many of you are living here in Bangkok since years, and we all know how the game is played. Meet a girl you like in a bar and meet her after the bar closes at the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 33, UBC building or 7/11. And most of the time this is not even the idea of the girl, but the customer. To meet a customer after work by chance - that happens not so often.
We try to encourage the girls to be honest, THB 700.00 isn't really that much. And if a customer is not willing to pay that he usually will also not pay too much to the girl.

I have frequented Livingstone's, or their girls.
As explained, the barfine policy seems fair. If Jack hooks up with Jill (and she plays with his telescope), it is in part thanks to Livingstone's.
And 700 Baht to be transported to another planet isn't too high a price to pay, is it?

As many know, I've been around the block a few years.
10-15 years ago this 'after closing' hours was virtually unknown.
Patpong had a special meeting place for such rendez vous (Tip Top). Girls would tell you openly that if you wanted them after midnight there was no problem.
The practice in my eyes is pure greed. If the girl finishes work, she's free to go whereever she wants and can indulge as she pleases without having her boss watching over her shoulder and trying to get a piece of her share.
As an employer, and that is valid for bar owners as well as other businesses, you pay your employees until a certain time. If she tries to arrange after hours meeting, it's a pity.. but that's the way it is.
I have seen bar owners defending the 'after work' barfines as a safety for punters.
In Pattaya there are still a few bars where girls can meet clients after work.
If you run a bar to profit for consumed drinks, you're a bar owner, if you run a bar for after hour barfines, you're a pimp.
BTW What is this thread doing outside the 'Livingstone' section?

A simple question for you all.
If Jack met Jill at 0200 at the noodle stand and they went to a hotel either ST or LT, or to Jack's apartment, how would management even know about it?
Is Jill going to rush breathlessly into the office the next day and tell everybody about her little tryst or is Jack going to show up bragging about it?
If either one of them do that, they should have to pay the bar fine!

Looks very logical to me. You do not want to pay? Do not get into that bar and meet the girl outside - then you owe nothing since you did not step into the bar, you just met a girl outside and you do not pay even if you take her back to the LL room. If you go into the LL bar and get the girl afterwards then you need to pay (of course only if the mama san finds out... otherwise maybe the girl can keep the money? .... same same other places, if you get one of Nana plaza bar girls after bar closes and she goes to the Nana hotel club - no need going back to the Nana Plaza bar to pay a fine the next day right? Simple!
