I did a one night stay at the Soi 8 location. Personally I found the front desk staff to be rather unfriendly and my room was cleaned twice in one day. It seems there was a problem with the in-room air conditioner. Luckily it was not over the bed but there was a loud drip, drip, drip which sounded odd. I turned on the light and the room was flooded with water. Called the staff about the issue and the room was mopped up and what I thought to be a repair made on the unit. Next morning the room was again flooded but I had not noticed the drip, drip, drip sound as I was quite intoxicated from a night on cowboy. Called the front desk again and then went to breakfast. When I returned still no one had looked at the problem. Called again and was told they cannot enter my room without me being there. I had to sit while they mopped the floor and repaired the air conditioner. wtf.

I've used it at the Soi 8 location. It is expensive. They are coin operated machines, I think I remember 100 baht for wash and 100 baht for dry.

Thanks. 100 Baht coin wash is not that bad.
I also often also use the laundry service provided by a Dutch or Belgian restaurant owner on Soi 11. Can't recall the name - just remember that it is up a flight of stairs. Charges by the kilo - next day service.

Still best rates can be negotiated on site ! see the room and bargain !.... watch out for that damm sales and vat added increase... inclusive bs.... still always good Thailand rates compaired to USA or Euro hotel stays... for short stays Ive gotten 4 star quality room, food, and ammenities for as low as $40 night or 1200 baht roughly and thats not in low season either.... Thailand has many many rooms out there... often wonder are there more hotels than main residences ?
Some of my work bros do 5 star then travel around do 3 star etc live a brief hiso.... another way is to swap apartments/ condos with other owners ST.... heck just go to Home Pro and meet rich Thai ladies that own properties do fix it chores for them and stay free !

I stayed at the Soi 23 citadines for 2 nights in May. I booked through Tim's site and paid 1700B per night. it is just a bit more than 5 minutes walk past Soi Cowboy.
One nice thing was coming from the subway after meetings in the afternoon,SC has lots of food sales going on at 5-6PM so I could get a quick cheap dinner with plenty of variety.
I liked the room and so did the girls I brought back there. I might consider to use this place instead of the Grottino from now on.

I can also gives a huge  to the one on soi 23!
I will stay there next time and not worry about checking my bags for my 4 or 5 day trip to the beach in the lobby bag closet....as I just want to keep everything there and come back to a clean room.......and not worry about hanging everything back up....
quality location and a good room to have friends come over and hang out!
