That would be the Grand Sofitel,,, was there last trip in the diamond suite,, have to admit it was nice at the price I paid,, but I wouldn't consider it at normal pricing.
The thing that got me on Chateau de bangkok was 82 square metrwes,, fark that APARTMENT size,, that, the price, I recon it's a good deal.
Centara more expensive and 32 square metres???? Not much bigger than my bedroom at home. But is 5 star..
I'll have to back out on the Centara report,,,, flights now onlly allow me a few hours on return leg,, so I'm not paying centara rates for that.
I've still got 3 nights at Chateau,, so will do a report in seperate thread.

Ive opted for the sister hotel Chateau de bangkok,, got that REALLY cheap 1781 Baht plus 17%. It's 4 star and in Lumpini area.
Surely you do not pay 1781B++ for an 82 m^2 apartment at the Chateau de bangkok.... must be a 25 m^2 room for that price....
Too bad you wont stay at the Centara, BTW 32 m^2 is not a bad size for a room...! But looks like you are used to full size suites..... !

Apollo,,i always try to make my posts accurate,, I have failed on this occasion,, the room is 85 SQUARE metres not the 82 I said

Centara at 32 square metres would definately restrict muliple fun,, IMHO
Chateau definately has the size,, but does it have the performance??? LOL,, i'll let you know
