Quote: from atl on 10:20 am on Aug. 23, 2009 I will stay there next time and not worry about checking my bags for my 4 or 5 day trip to the beach in the lobby bag closet....as I just want to keep everything there and come back to a clean room.......and not worry about hanging everything back up....
Pretty much how I ride on every trip - I prefer to pick my one hotel as the 'HQ', and book it for my entire trip, and not worry about the days I am not there. It lets me travel light on my secondary trips, and not worry about packing and unpacking all the time. A buddy of mine stayed at Citadines Suk 23, and he wasn't too thrilled by some of their policies at the time (charging for room cleaning, etc) and I doubt it's for me, as I value balconies and large swimming pool areas (hence, Centre Point's what I prefer)

You guys must be big shots... That meens you blow about 10KB. or some because packing/unpacking is too much trouble?!? I can do better... How long does it take to pack/unpack?!? 10 mins. ? 20 mins. ??? In my simple mind I can't see any other way than pack and unpack instead of wasting a couple of dayrates for an empty room just because pack/unpack is so tiresome...

MTK, I just got back to this thread, and no I am no big shot, but when I finally have the elaborate sex dungeon set up, f*** swing, iron maiden, candle wax drip labyrinth etc, it is a pain to break it down and then rebuild when I get back to the room, as I dont travel with "roadies" anymore Kidding, but after several trips of being on a budget it is nice to not worry about expenditures (at least ones in the $250 range) on vacations now……and I do bring cloths that need to be pressed and usually just bring a backpack to the beach, and since it is my vacation if 10,000 baht was something to worry about, then I probably would not be going on vacation! But I did very much like just setting up a HQ on my last trip, with the 'fridge stocked with wine, beer and snacks from Villa Market upon checking in and having that there... It is just easier for me is all, and besides I will not take a 23 hour flight across the world and "pinch my pennies!" atl *edit in* I also tend to buy all my family christmas gifts and clients gifts throughout my days in LOS and they add up bulk wise and I would simply prefer not to put all that shit away and then unpack it again.....

MickTheKick I feel the same way, many Americans not all but most that I meet want to pay top $ for there Hotels and No offense Guys, most of the Americans are GOOD People! That's there business and I think they have the money so up to them. I have stayed at plenty of Hotels over the last Twelve years and I don't like places like the Landmark etc I'd rather stay at a smaller hotel like Town Lodge for a third of the nightly rate, like really when in Thailand most days for me I'm out buying stock for my store and come 1600 it's o'clock, hit the Down Under Bar drink my Aussie beer Crown Larger watch the football while getting a Bg to massage my back for ten mins and slip her a red note, I'd rather pass the savings on to those in need! Than back to TL have a shave shit and a shower have a few pigs ears with Bells in Toxic than out for dinner than well there's still a thousand watering holes to be tried out and play some stick have a good Laugh than about 1am hit the fart sack Up at 5 or 6 for coffee and a walk, so I can't see why pay big $ to you show some BG that your cashed up, they don't give a rats and usually want to get payed and go home to there boy friend or Hubby. But where all different that what makes the World go round Yea.

Disclaimer: I am sorry if I offend any nationality. Yes, Americans want to pay top dollar for their hotel room because they are used to living in large houses than any nationalities in the world. They are used to wide open spaces. Large and multiple bathrooms and bedrooms are becoming very common in the USA. Some of the newly constructed houses have two master bedrooms. Bathrooms in those houses are larger than an entire hotel room. And for a large number of upper middle class people these houses are quite affordable using borrowed money till they lose their jobs and put the house on the auction block.

Which location has the best pool? Planning on a month trip in December so a good pool would be nice. From the pics at the Citadines page, it looks like the Soi 11 location has the best pool with plenty of room along one side for chaise lounges. While those at 8 and 16 seem to be cramped for space. There is no photo of a pool at the 23 location. Does it have one? And how would it compare to the one at 11?

The Citadine Soi 8 pool is a joke... not mor than a large bathtub with *NO* space around... Soi 11 is way better but still quite small for a hotel pool... Again and a gain I repeat: President Palace booked on wotif is my best deal... Pool there is 4*...
