Perhaps the other way around? Those who drink heavily need to consider starting a bar business. This will reduce the money they are spending on drinks to 0, since as bar managers or owners, they can have all they want to drink for free, "on the house"....

Why? Why do you have to bash DrLove and call him names? You know, his business actually could be very useful for newbies. You are wrong if you think a first timer can get the good info for BKK on his own. No this is not that simple, and even after quite a few trips, one has a lot to discover and learn. Even those with experience can learn about new places and new ways which may result in actually saving money (for example, best and cheapest hotels, going rates, bars, and so on).
Again let us all be friends no bashing ! I have only respect for all who can start a business and make a living in BKK. I sure will suggest my friends try DrLove tours if they are first time visitors and even if they have visited a few times already in Thailand. Check DrLove's resume and you will understand he is really a pro. What he charges is nothing compared to what one can gain and save out from his advice. Yes, he should be paid for such. You can either pay him as is, or go to RTB's Toxic and get some advice over a few drinks, good too if you do not want to tour the city. Priceless services for those whom are new to the area I think! The fee you pay to DrLove INCLUDES transportation pickup and drop off from your hotel, and all other travel around BKK. Are you kidding me? This is a great deal! Me going to try it by myself next time I am in BKK. Especially the private tours option (get my friend to go to this with me) where you can tell DrLove to skip the beaten places and go to places only he knows. Very nice deal, I think for the same price. I know others have tried it as reported here (e.g. Mel Gibson when his son was in town with him, and he loved it). Should also go and visit RTB and Toxic and have a few drinks with him to hear his experience (for advance visitors... hehehehe  . I am sure I may end up having such drinks with the Toxic's girls instead with RTB though so here is the danger to forget about learning... hahahaha.
To learn something you pay tuition fees one way or another. You can make your own mistakes and pay a heavy fee for learning, or pay a small fee and learn from others' experience. Your choice, newbie or not.
