Sofitel was popular with airline crew as it is not too far from the Don Muang airport. Made several visit to a gik of mine, who is a stewardess, stay in sofitel during her layover, And never had a problem going to her hotel at late night hours.

I stay frequently at this Sofitel before I leave out of BKK. Lots of eye candy in the mall and have had some good sucess in that respect.
Have not had any problem with bringing a girl up to my room. Once in a while the downstairs will stop her and all I do is go down and get her.
You can always bring the girl from Central Department Store, thru the parking lot to the Mezzanie level of the hotel and go up to your room. Never have seen security there.

Sorry to hijack this thread but I can't yet create new topics.
Has anyone stayed at the Asoke Sofitel Residence? It looks a good deal for a 1-bedroom suite at 5,000 inclusive per night. According to their e-mail, there is no joiner fee.
Any idea how it compares in terms of quality to the new Dream hotel and Jasmine City suites. All are gf and are similar prices.
