Dave, I guess I wasnít clear. Didn't mean to say TS was the nearest. Just wanted to say I liked the place and thought the price was reasonable.
I have seen the place you mentioned too. It has a bar area on the left and some PCs on the right. I'm not sure, but I don't think they were cheaper than TS. But the biggest drawback is that there is no airco. If the service is Ok, it can be a good place for a quick check on your email. For longer sessions I'd still prefer TS which is a nicer place and has airco. I had some long sessions because I emailed pictures of my daily adventures. Brought my own usb card reader and had no problems hooking it up.

I still consider myself a newbie. I discovered this forum November last year, just before my first BKK trip. This forum is awesome, it helped me enormously and without this forum I would have been clueless where to go besides NEP. Itís payback time, like to help brothers anyway I can.

I booked using http://www.travelshop.com.au which in turn uses the hotelclub.net server I think..
Came to US$24 Which I'm happy to pay, even after converting to AUS$. Especially as I'm landing late at night, the weather forecast is for pissing down rain, I'd rather not piss fart about with finding a room..
so do the bars still pump on a Friday night even with rain?

As for the bars...well Im not sure..hardly an experienced one in LOS. But the rain won't hold me back when im there. Im sure they will still be pumping.....

Staying now at the Manhattan hotel.
I have booked one of their suites and it is absolutely NOT recommended. The price is 3 times the normal room but this room has nothing in the suite category to do.
This will be my last stay at this hotel. The standard room at Novotel Lotus is much nicer and abouth 500 baht cheaper. Also girl friendly.
The plusses for this hotel must be very nice and helpful reception and very good massage.
The massuse that I booked up to my room offered me HJ and BJ. She said all girls asking for 1000 baht HJ and 2000 baht BJ. I offered here half that price and she said yes imidiatle. When the BJ was covered I refused.
Another plus must be that the standard rooms are very cheap now best offer I have seen right now is baht 790.
