Stayed at Bel-aire 19/2 Jan - booked a double. No questions asked when I checked in alone and absolutely no probs bringing the girls back - took ID and customary okay call when they left. This place IS guest friendly.
However, at close to 3000b for a deluxe (?) room I can't say I was too impressed. Big enough but it had like a large alcove with what looks like a bar, but there's sod all in it, just an empty shell and a sink. The rooms are in need of a bit of an overhaul.
Lobby, bar and restaurant area look seriously nice but the rooms....not worth the poppy.

I was only there for two nights and the bed was certainly big enough for my needs, so mustn't grumble. Location is top and it was clean.
I now know I paid too much but, as I'm sure will happen to many, I was taken in by their website which gives it more of a four star look....congrats due on the webcon design. Booked the room online after checking all the usual sites....this was the cheapest 'advertised' rate and appeared reasonable given the impression given by their website, and some of the posts I read here.
Mai pen rai, you live and learn - I'll not be staying there again.

Does this hotel have safes in the room and does the pool get sun all day long?

Duan, the rooms do have a safe but I can't comment about the pool. Sat around it for 15 mins or so after checking out, around 1pm, and it still had the sun then - although it's on the right side of the building for catching the sun, the Grace Hotel is directly opposite and I would guess would put the pool in the shade by mid afternoon. Can't be 100% about that however - sure somene else can confirm.

I have stayed there twice and both rooms had electronic safes with key pads. The pool and sun deck are shaded in the afternoon.

Hi everyone,
I am new To Bangkok tonight forum so this will be my first post.
I am looking to book a hotel for the Summer. I am thinking of booking the Bel-Air Princess. I am just wondering what is it like? clean? near the action?
Also has anybody stayed in there new Tribeca rooms yet?
I am thinking of paying alittle more and staying in one of them.

Im stopping there next week, I tried to book the Landmark but it was full?
I picked it because it looks half decent and is close to Nana etc, (unless Ive been stitched up,)
I will let you know what its like.

When I stayed they were definitely not girl friendly.

Oh boy this is confusing. Some postings say Girl Friendly and others not GF. I guess the logical thing to do is take advice from the most recent posting advising it's not GF and go elsewhere

I stayed there 3 weeks ago, booked a double (same same as single) had tg with me no joining fee, decent hotel, nice big bed, no complaints.
