Not many people that I know, like to go to a club/pub and have it empty everytime they pass through. As it relates to the professional crowd, the hotel bars have this market tied up for obvious reasons. I am amazed that this thread has gone on so long similar to threads for Orbit, Eden, Carribean, etc... Does this place compare or is it the fact that we bend the rules for the member owners? Does this place make a good drink? Who cares, buy a bottle and make your own drink.
My original point is that I see so much useles information passing about Glow and there really is no need for it. The place is boring, but if you want to go have at it as well as anywhere else in Bangkok for that matter.
Well first off GLOW is a sponsor to the forum as is TOXIC and others so that is in itself reason enough to get preferred treatment. Welcome to the real world. Many things about the Good Ole days weren't that good.

So the clicques occupied most of the space
For the most part the loyal customers are people that one already have a girl and are not hunting.
Two, the Thai clubs for the most part suck.
Three many of the other clubs are packed and it is hard to get service.
Good drinks, Good music and sound system, Nice staff, easy to get to. Not for everybody, but I like it that way. When I went to the 1 year anniversy party is was just like Q bar minus the hoes. I hope they never get this popular.

well if any of these clicques are hanging out by the bar they are normally BTF members and are generally very friendly especially to other board members so next time feel free to introduce yourself.
I believe some are even available to give dance lessons.

Enough lurking on the board for me...
I finally went to Glow the other night to see what all the fuss is about.
I will agree with much of what's been said, really friendly staff, easy to chat and joke with, good sound system, pretty cool interior etc., etc.
I went on Wed. night figuring this "G-Spot" party was going on. I get there, chat with the folks at the door, pay my money and walk in to find 1, that's right 1 person there chatting up the bartender.
I could not believe this so I ask at the door when will things pick up and they said around midnight it will be jamming. So I slam my drink, cruise to check out a few more spots before coming back to Glow a little past midnight.
Get there, the music is blasting everything sounds great and the folks at the doors gladly let me back in. There I find 2 people in the place! Granted, it was a 100% increase in patrons from my earlier experience but WTF!
Anyway, needless to say, I bolted, headed over to Bed and finished the night quite happily.
I may go back, not sure..

Seems quite a similar experience shared by many that give Glow a chance - a decided lack of patrons.
Great if you want to plan private parties, without having to book the place, but not really if you are looking for 'atmosphere'. I'd have to agree.

glow is great. it really is. it does need patronage some nights.
I mean. give the guys some credit.
always if I go to glow, I have a good time, I dry hump the woofers (not due of lack of girls).
maybe it misses a good party crowd some nights.
but nevermind, I will always love it as long it is there
so stop bashing this club. I like it. always did. it has the ringthebells sign of approval.
be there, or be square.
