I remember reading about a pretty popular hotel with lots of freelance girls sitting in the cafe. Can't remember the name of the hotel. Anyone know?

Are you saying that the best place to find freelances is to go to the Nana Hotel parking lot? When would be the best time to go and what is the average price for short term and overnight?

Depends on what you mean by "best"
Nana parking lot from 10 - 2am probably has the most ladies per sq meter other than certain night clubs.
But higher quality can be found at the discos IMO but at higher prices.
Lower quality can be found by just walking from Soi 4 to Asoke as the ladies are lined up along the sidewalk all the way on both sides [but mostly the odd # side].
Why do you prefer FL's ? Curious.

I am just thinking about finding a nice girl to travel with in Thailand. In case if I don't find a nice willing model girl at Poseidon, I might have to look else where. Besides, I like to check out these places, just curious about the qualities.
Is it pretty easy to pick one up at a disco without having to spend to much time?

If you are young and handsome and have a fat wallet or if you are old, ugly and have a fat wallet, it is fairly easy to pick up a girl in a disco, but not all discos and not any girl. A lot of girls go to discos to have a good time out with their friends and are not interested in going with anybody, ST,LT or OT.
You want to pick up a girl to tour Thailand with you, but a lot of disco girls have day-time jobs as do a lot of freelancers, without the option of skipping days or a week without losing their job.
Better to go to a bar and pick a girl from there and take on the added expense of the bar-fines for the duration as well as her fee for the time.
Other than that, trawl Sukhumvit for a freelancer who hasn't got a day-time job. No bar-fines to pay on top of her fee.
You could advertise on the net to get a girl for your touring, But the response would be varied and you would not be able to tell just how much she would be expecting at the end of your holiday unless you negotiated that and in the event of your being very lucky, you could be negotiating an amount of money that maybe the respondent had no intention of getting initially.
Of course, if money is no object, take your first option and go for the Poseidon girl if you click with her but..... just don't have your eyes open as you pay out the cash at the end of the trip. It would be too painful to see.

The Malaysia Hotel (near Sathorn Road) was always a favorite hangout of freelancers in the 80s'. I guess still so.
Another favorite place was the Siam Hotel on Petchburi Rd. But that was demolished a short time ago.
The coffeeshop of the Grace caters to Midde Eastern clients.

Grace Hotel WAS the place years ago, now mostly Arab and Africans now,
Nana parking lot is decent, but many of the girls have kids to take care of or a daytime job,
Its not going to be something you can do in a few minutes, IF you are real lucky you may find someone you like enough to travel with on the first night,,,,
But I have been there many times and cannot say I ever found one that I would want to spend a week with !
