I agree with you that money is important for us to be able to live our lives the way we want it. But money is not everything in life. Happiness at work is more important. I always tell my friends that if they are not happy working in their present jobs, it's better to quit and look for our more fulfilling jobs, even at the expenses of a pay cut.
I once worked for a company where the boss was always looking over my shoulder to monitor my work. I 'suffered' in this job for 10 months before quitting for another job.

same here, i used to work in a company with free board vehicle and other perks. unfortunately, my boss was always digging into my personal life - even after office hours..and to the point of dictating not to get involved with a thai girl (he's a foreigner). the last straw came when he's drunk and we had a heated argument. he apologized the next day and i accept, but began to look for a new job. luckily, i got one immediately and the management now takes good care of me, trust my ability and can freely decide for our company's interest.

Reawakening this older thread for the benefit of Bangkok1bob... it probably didn't show up when he searched  to confirm there wasn't already a topic open on the board for "Fifty-Fifth Center" (as it's written on the English sign).
Most of the info in this thread still applies... 55 Center is not the most farang-friendly venue in Bangkok, only because English skills here are weak. They are very welcoming however, once you get to know the drill. No need to worry about stunners here, or legends like Saeng... just good solid take-care-of-business service. Same owner/pricing/services as 33 Center.

I went to this place with my 2 Thai friends. The selection is average. But my friends were horny we all picked ladies. I did not pound but only had a massage and my friend did and they paid 1000 for the boom boom session.
