The RAID on BED is all over the THAI news (paper and TV) the international outlets (Nation and BKK Post) will usually not post this sort of material because the thai gov. directs them not to make the kingdom look bad. (Hell the BKK post online took more then 8 days to go online about the Tsunami in the south!)
and also b/c TRT owns them both.
a thai VJ (not sure which one) was confirmed with a purple confirmation for yabba (methamphetamine) not sure on others. she said in the news that she had only taken cold medicine and was unaware of anything else.
All I have to say is from the last 4 weeks of BED on Tuesday Night is to stay away for a while.
last night = POLICE RAID
1 week before = Pretty dead
3 weeks before = 2 HISOs kick the crap out of a TV star, for allegedly talking to one of their girlfriends who happens to be the best friend of the TV star's sister... all charges were dropped... but he took 15 stitches to the face

Hahahahaha. Most of your posts are right on the money NYC, but this time, you should read the Nation to know that Suttichai Yoon is running the most anti TRT newspaper empire in the country (well, other than maybe Matichon, but that is actually based on facts more than hysterics as per The Nation). The Nation is strongly anti TRT, and quite happy to make Thailand look bad, but I think the reason for not talking about Bed is that for the most part the star caught means nothing to the mostly western audience that reads The Nation.
But you are totally right about BKK Post, the lapdog of whoever is in power pretty much - they bumped the editor in chief I think for not enough brown nosing last year. Note how many pages of AIS advertising feature in each newspaper; best barometer for pro or anti TRT there is.

The VJ in question has paid her way out, and used the old cold medicine excuse... Can work for a Thai celeb, but I think foreigners are a better target.
Sadly they want to make an example of some people, before the election most likely, so if I were a foreigner not wanting to be a scapegoat, I'd be careful about taking stuff then going to places like Bed.

actually the Nation is also (inadvertedly) majority owned by a TRT member. If you have noticed that their explicit details of the party have been scaled down over the last 2 years. When the previous majority (family) sold out their shares.
It could also be why the Nation channel (news station) is now shown only through a separate satelite dish....
but enough about the ramblings of a government we are powerless to vote against.
I have just confirmed that actually 7 other TV stars also got pulled down to the station that night. But all were not as high profile as the VJ (Kae I believe her name is)... one of my friends TGF (past TV star) was taken down as well. and she got off when she said it was her birth control that may have come up...
and got off the hook no less than an hour after going to the station

7 others huh?! That is a lot.... friggin stupid TV stars - I am sure most of them are on the list that Joyce TK provided, and that a fair few are probably now giving up either money or services to avoid a "fair cop" as the epression goes.
The whole drug thing was never my scene, but in the past, apparently being on TV meant not even getting tested, and hanging out with police at Orbit etc. How the worm has turned
