There's no particular approach (for regular service), Chompoo.... you walk in and you'll be served just like anywhere else. If it's the double charging issue... the best approach would be to take it the first time, and then slip your tip to the cheer guest, ask for his number, and call him before you go next time. Tell him which girl(s) you want to reserve (this is on the phone) and what price you're going to pay. Since you speak Thai and would perhaps even be considered a local depending on the level of politeness you use, it shouldn't be a problem.
I don't mention the cheer guests names that I use there because there's nothing special about them. They'll all treat you well if you treat them well. Yeah, they do like it when I bring guests... but just like in any service business, I'm not about to recommend customers I don't know myself, personally.
And yes, chatting up the sideliners is not a problem. You can sit and drink on the sideliner side for as long as you like. The English of the bowl girls is better than the sideliners (from when I hear elevator and hallway conversations), but it varies and I always speak Thai to them so I can't answer for sure.
No binoculars needed here... as the fishbowls here are all pretty close in. AND... the from the inside of the bowl visibility is very good here (the girls can see you better than other places) so, you'd look silly with them.

First how does one select a "cheer" guest? I'm assuming that one typically selects you and you're stuck with him/her. Why wouldn't you give out the name of your cheer guest here for us to use? I would think that would help your relationship with him and it would be good for us. I can understand if you have your reasons (maybe he'd prefer not having a bunch of farang clients).
It usually takes me a time or two to figure out the best approach to a particular club. I imagine I would want to get a drink and spend a few minutes in front of both fishbowls and then have a good seat where I could check out the sideline girls. How amenable are the sideline girls to being chatted up and will there be the cheer guest and agent hanging around while I do it? I assume most of them don't speak English very well.

^ note that this is your best bet for double price/surcharge avoidance anywhere, in my opinion.
What you don't want to do is to have a public argument in front of the fishbowl with the cheer guest (even if you do indeed know the correct pricing).
Do it on the phone politely. Some will relent. Some will not. At least it won't spiral into an ugly situation.

It's not exactly like taking off from work from a job job where you know it's 20 days, 1 month, or half a year vacation time.

Packripper is right...when i was there, there were many other girls there and i can say some just as hot as Bee. I think it just a groups promoting her in which makes her even hotter!
besides there are a lot more MP besides Nataree along that stretch of road. you should try all the way leading to Poseidon for the ultimate 'models' category.
