I did not complain about yurunes attire, so what give you the right to complain about mine mr. bones?? heh??
it's all designer clad. maybe a bit grungy at times, but it says polo, esprit, levis, adidas, BKny...

555, missing those barencounters at barcounters aswell. the aussie poofter is seriously considering moving back to the fatherland (this will change once he gets back her, I am sure). but there are still enough suspicious looking guys around.

that birthday is approaching fast, almost exactly eight months to go... invitations will go out 6 months prior. I expect people from all over the world.

yabadabadoo.

Hi everybody!!!

I was in Bangkok during April and tried more or less all the Indian restaurants referred to in this thread.

Being an Indian and Hotelier to the boot, I think I am qualified enough for grading these joints (a la Indian restaurants in India).

For the most Indianised food I will vote for Bukhara on Soi 7.

For Best South Indian I will plump for Dosa King.

There is one "Woodlands Inn" an Indian Hotel with both restaurant and rooms somewhere in Bangkok. I heard it is okey and with reasonable rates and taste.

Anybody heard of it?

I am surpirsed at the number of brothers interested in Indian Curry. It looks like I can open one good restaurant and do good business giving preffered rates to members of BTF.

Having seen advertisement and excellent reviews for Himali Cha-Cha and sons, I took a walk over there after an unforgettable session at Poseidon. It's located near soi 33 (soi 31 maybe?).
Ambience was nice and the chicken Masala was really delicious and seemed well cooked. However, in the early hours of the next day, that proved to be wrong as I painfully vomitted for an hour or two. Why is it always the same? Seems I always manage to get sick during the first two or three days of my stays in LOS, and it makes me all weak and sick for up to a week. I need to find a good clean restaurant, Thai or Indian, near soi Nana so that I don't ruin my next trip in august.

If you are into North Indian it is Bhukhara (near flyover) on the opposite side of Landmark or if it is South Indian it is Dosa King in Soi 19 next to Robinsons. All the best.

Hi Everybdy !!!

This thread has been dormant since 18 months and I thought I will revive it.

Planning t visit BKK/PTY duirng 6th to 15th Jan 2006. Any good recommendations for BKK other than Bhukhara and Dosa King? Is Komala Vilas still open??? I am a South Indian and prefer Idlies and Dosas to Nans and Parathas.

What about Pattaya??? Any decent Indian Restaurant there???

Himali Cha Cha in soi 35 is now gone.

The best Indian restaurant in Bangkok by far is still the Rang Mahal.

Second in my book is Indian Hut, though it's been a long while since I went there as it's location is inconvenient.

Akhbars used to always be good value, but again, no trip for a while as the Rang mahal is just a level above all the others (that I have tried)

A mate of mine went to the Bukhara the other day and said it was the worst Indian Food he'd ever had.

Best Southern veggie still Dosa King....

There's a new place on Soi 11 which is rather good. Forget it's name, but it's about 200 metres down on the right hand side. Good food. Bit pricey and they don't yet take credit cards so get cashed up.

Certainly the best Indian I've had here so far, and better IMHO than the late Himali Cha Cha.

Where is Rang Mahal?
