I ams eriously thinking about leaving BTF for good. This message denying me entry due to the cache porblem or whatever it is..... is driving me NUTS.
I hope it can be fixed because I no linger want to endure this waste of my time with no being able to get in.
Isnt there a decent network tech the board can find to fix this ?
Is there another software host that does not have this problem ?
No other board I have ever seen has anyting like this, so why is Bangkoktonight.com plagued with it ?

Sorry Dotcom..... but I did not do this...... the damn BTF software did. I was logged in properly, but it put MY topic in your name.
I could not even edit my post as it threw me out to the damn Guest Message again.

On a smilar topic - how does an outsider get access to a registration screen to obtain user name and password?
I now a fellow who wants to join the forum, asking me, where the "registration button" is....
Any help available?

A Foody, I had the same problem. You (or your friend) has to email BK with a desired username and a backup incase the first is taken. BK will then email you with a password (which you can change once you logg in). You can reach him through the CONTACT US link on the main page. Hope that helps.

Not only is it often hard to log on. I can get in through a backass way. But now I am dealing with getting that guest access page whenever I try to get into the Specialty Bars section. I can't even do a search there like I did the first few times I could not get in. Very frustrating. Every other thread is still open to me. Only that one. Did the system develop AI and decide I was too perverted already?
I sent a PM to BK and he's looking into it. Anyone have any suggestions? He mentioned it could be an ISP related problem. Being a merely a parvenu computer user I'm not sure how to adjust that if I must.
Any suggestions appreciated.

I do the old backdoor way in now as well as 99% of the time I get a message saying "guest access is no longer permiited."
Of course, I have been a member here for quite some time, but can't figure out another way to deal with it.
Sometimes other members names and pword entries also pop up on my screen.

It seemed to have worked well for a time when using a third party cache (or even without one).
BK has rewritten the software, but unfortunately now the problem has reappeared.
Just relax..... and use the 'Latest Posts' to access the most current threads. 'The last 25' obviously doesn't work.
But don't follow BK's advice to use (or get info about) Asianet's proxy server. It will save your credentials on this proxy server and distribute it it other member's browsers!
(this only is applicable to users within Thailand on True or Asianet. Other users shouldn't be affected).
