Am I the only one that is getting discouraged by the quality of this forum? It seems like too many threads are being started glorifying a certain American tech company and not enough focus on Thailand's finest contributions to mankind.

Whatever one's opinion of DD, I'm not sure he's "the problem".
The problem is that there are way too many lurkers. (From urbandictionary: "A lurker is someone that follows the forum but doesn’t post.".)
Don't want to flame or anything, and I have no idea how accurate the search engine is, but if I search for "localguy", I get a total of 11 results. Your profile shows you've been a member since 2003. "Tezza", however, joined in 2005, and the search engine finds his name 136 times!
Rather than moaning about the state of the forum, I suggest: contribute. (I do not mean localguy only.)
Most of the times when I see a tech-related post, or the last contributor to a thread is someone whose contributions I do not care for, I choose the easiest option: I ignore.

I think everyone should either appreciate or ignore posts instead of commenting on them if it leads to the same lame routine as busied by Tezza and CalEden (to name such a few).
If they were really smart they would have found out long ago that these practices do not stop DD whatsoever and that resistance is futile. It's so funny to see that Tezza doesn't think that he is also just as guilty by replying 'touche'.
If the Darth Vader allows it, then it should be fine.

It's so funny to blame tech posts which are studiously confined to the tech section. Those who prefer pussy to smartphones (like me) have a wide range of threads to read, post in and enjoy. DD anyway does not post tech issues in pussy sections. It's so funny that the chief culprit, Dirty The Guru, who wantonly ravages and bedraggles every thread is not blamed for the perceived lowering of quality of this forum.
As for me, I have no problem with DG. I just laugh when I am tickled or ignore his posts when I am not. Patin, could you run a search on DirtyGuru and see how many gadzillion times his eminence shows up ?

The search engine only comes up with 367 results for "dirty guru". This most likely proves that the search engine cannot be fully trusted! Is it a Thai girl in disguise?

Move on if you don't want to read them-
